Aiden was taken aback by Angelina's words.
Angelina was actually apologizing to him!
With a puzzled expression, he asked, "Are you feeling unwell? Give me your hand, and let me check your pulse."
However, she simply smiled. "I'm fine. I'm just apologizing to you! Aiden, I know that my family has caused you a lot of harm in the past three years, so I apologize on their behalf and mine!"
She looked at him with a remorseful expression, and though he finally believed her sincerity, he still couldn't fully trust her.
He murmured, "I didn't mind it! Really!"
"Are you sure?" she asked.
Aiden took a deep breath. "Seeing you every day in the Gray Family made me the happiest, and I didn't even care that Linda always scolded me maliciously. I thought that maybe we could start over when you come to your senses in the future, but I realized I was wrong.
"You are the most beautiful woman in Keyland and a talented management graduate from a prestigious university, while I am just the family's worthless son-in-law. How could there be any connection between us? Gradually, I realized that no matter how hard I tried, you wouldn't believe me. As far as the Gray Family relatives, Linda, and outsiders are concerned, it's always my fault if anything goes wrong!
"I have just realized that you never wanted to understand me, nor did you ever believe in me. It wasn't until Linda arranged a blind date for you right in front of me that I realized I should let everything go. So, I decided to leave the Gray Family—to leave this place that has never belonged to me nor ever accepted me!"
Aiden said all this in one breath, suddenly feeling an immense sense of relief. However, Angelina felt her heart ache after hearing Aiden's words.
What had the Grays done to Aiden in these three years? They had gradually let down this man in front of her!
"Aiden—" she muttered, but she didn't know what to say.
He turned around and asked calmly, "Did you come just to apologize?"
At that moment, she noticed that his right cheek was still slightly swollen, a result of the two slaps her parents had given him last night.
She didn't answer his question but instead reached out her hand to gently touch his cheek. "Does it hurt?"
He avoided her hand and said lightly, "Some pain is far worse than this!"
Angelina's eyes filled with tears. "Aiden, let's go home!"
"Home? That's yours, but it can never be mine!" Aiden shook his head. "Angelina, let's break up. I'm tired, and both of us should go our separate ways. You can openly participate in blind dates and let Linda find a perfect match for you, and I can also do whatever I want!"
Her tears started to fall. "Are you going to find Gina? I know. Who would love a woman who is always cold? Gina, with her fiery passion, should be your ultimate choice!"

He retrieved a tissue and handed it to her in the car, and she looked at him after wiping her tears. "Aiden, come home with me."
He shook his head and remained silent.
"Aiden, you still won't forgive me even after this?" Angelina asked in frustration.
Aiden shook his head again. "I have never been angry with you. I just wanted to spend some time at the medical center. There have been a lot of things happening recently, and I need to figure out my future as well."
After saying this, a touch of coldness appeared in his gaze, and his demeanor unconsciously became more intense.
Feeling Aiden's intimidating aura and coldness, Angelina was startled and looked at him with unfamiliarity.
Noticing her reaction, he immediately composed himself and said calmly, "It's a personal matter."
"A personal matter?"
Angelina was taken aback and realized for the first time, while looking at the man in front of her, that she knew nothing about him. His past and history were a complete mystery to her!
