Aiden Finnegan the Alchemist in Delcord novel Chapter 77

As Helena turned and left, Nameless couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Seeing this, Helena angrily gestured at Nameless.

But Nameless pretended not to understand and said, "I'm not familiar with the procedures."

Helena stomped her foot and stormed out of the medical center.

After Reece and Helena departed, Aiden took out a stack of cash and handed it to Nameless, saying, "Once the medical center closes, you'll be free to go. Consider this an advance payment for your salary."

"That's great." Nameless nodded and accepted the cash.

Looking at the empty medical center, Aiden couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness.

Thinking about what Angelina had said earlier in the day, he unconsciously smiled.

Meanwhile, Angelina lay on her bed, lost in thoughts about Aiden.

Recalling their conversation, Angelina felt her face grow warm. It wasn't until she returned home that she realized those were the most sentimental words she had ever spoken in over twenty years.

When had she ever expressed such romantic feelings before?

However, Angelina had no regrets because it wasn't until Aiden left the Gray Family for good that she realized she had become accustomed to his presence.

Downstairs, Linda sat on the couch, looking at Harvey, who was reading the newspaper, and complained, "Can't you do something other than read the newspaper all day? Can't you show more concern for Angelina?"

Harvey put down the newspaper and replied, "I do care about Angelina."

"Angelina has been staying in her room since she came back. I was thinking maybe that worthless guy had mistreated her," Linda reasoned, frowning.

Upon hearing that, Harvey also frowned and said, "I don't understand why you can't see the situation clearly. Can't you see that Angelina has feelings for Aiden? Why do you keep saying he's worthless?"

"What did you say? Angelina can't possibly have feelings for that guy, right? He just left the Gray Family. Angelina can't have feelings for him. No, I need to find her a new boyfriend as soon as possible," Linda hurriedly said as she reached for the phone.

"What are you doing?" Harvey asked, displeased.

Linda glanced at him and explained, "I'm calling Janice. She mentioned she could introduce a wealthy heir to Angelina."

"What's wrong with you? Can't you understand what I'm saying? Angelina and Aiden are still married. Why are you introducing a new boyfriend to Angelina? Besides, did you even get Angelina's consent? Also, why do you dislike Aiden so much? How many times have I told you? Dad has always been good at judging people, so there must be something about Aiden that he values."

"Stop, just stop! I wouldn't be angry if you didn't mention Dad. It's obvious that he was not in a clear state of mind before he passed away, and now, you, Angelina's father, are also confused. That's why Angelina ended up in this situation. What's so good about that worthless guy? What redeeming qualities does he have? You're being ridiculous."

While saying so, Linda dialed Janice's number.

"Angelina, are you telling the truth? Does Addie know medicine?" Harvey also asked.

Angelina nodded and replied, "Dad, Aiden knows medicine and seems quite proficient in it. A few days ago, he even gave me a one hundred thousand dollar check, which was the consultation fee for a patient at the medical center. Looks like his patient is from a prominent family."

"A one hundred thousand dollar check? He actually has a million dollars. Where is it?" Linda immediately asked upon hearing about the check.

However, Angelina frowned and looked at her mother, chastising her, "Mom, that's Aiden's money. Don't even think about getting your hands on it."

"Hmph! How can 15,000 be enough to repay those three years?" Linda retorted somewhat weakly.

Seeing that, Angelina shook her head helplessly and returned to her room.

She knew her mother's character well. If Aiden returned home, her mother would probably ask him for money again.

Meanwhile, Linda, seeing Angelina retreat to her room, continued to talk incessantly, "How could that worthless man receive such large amounts of consultation fees just by checking and treating patients? I wonder how he deceived those people."

"Deceive? Have you ever seen anyone deceive someone out of a million dollars for medical treatment? Why are you always so mean to Addie? The reason why Angelina and Addie have reached this point today is because of you!" Harvey remarked angrily and stormed off to the second floor.

Linda, on the other hand, coldly snorted and said, "Hmph, I will go visit Aiden tomorrow."
