He added, "Angelina, take your mother home."
"Who do you think you are? How dare you speak to Angelina like that? Angelina, you must divorce him!" Linda yelled.
"Mom, that's enough! Let's go home!" Angelina countered firmly.
"Angelina, you..." Linda's momentum dwindled as she witnessed Angelina's anger.
With a cold expression, Angelina stated, "Mom, isn't it embarrassing enough for you?"
Then, Angelina took hold of Linda and walked straight toward the exit of the medical center.
After Angelina departed, a sense of unease settled over Aiden as he contemplated, What's the matter? Why has this sudden commotion erupted, and why does it involve my mother-in-law?
On the way home, Linda kept up a relentless stream of conversation in the car. "Angelina, why are you so scared of that worthless man?"
"I'm not scared of Aiden, but as a mother, you shouldn't have said such things." Angelina couldn't bring herself to repeat Linda's shameful words.
Linda didn't care and asserted, "What's the problem? I'm just being honest."
She then asked, "Angelina, be honest with me. Did you use your money to open this medical center for him?"
Angelina couldn't help but smile bitterly. Did I use my money? Aiden didn't even accept my money when I offered it to him.
Angelina chose to withhold the fact that the medical center was a gift from Gina to Aiden. She knew her mother too well.
"Mom, this is Vermilion Avenue. A medical center here costs millions. Where do you think I got so much money?" Angelina responded with irritation. "By the way, why did you come to the medical center today?"
"This is the Gray Family's medical center. Why can't I come?" Linda growled.
In shock, Angelina looked at her mother and asked, "The Gray Family's medical center? It is Aiden's medical center. When did it become the Gray Family's medical center?"
"He is nothing without the Gray Family's support and resources. He's our son-in-law, and everything he owns should belong to us," Linda responded coldly.
Angelina struggled to reconcile the person before her with the mother she knew. In her usual perception, Linda was fierce but not shameless.
However, today's shameless words from Linda made Angelina realize that Aiden was not at fault. Over the past three years, Linda had solely labeled Aiden as a good-for-nothing son-in-law.
Angelina remained silent because she didn't know what to say to her mother.
Back home, Harvey sat on the couch, engrossed in the newspaper. Upon noticing Linda and Angelina returning together, he inquired, "Why are you back together?"
"Mom went to Aiden's medical center," Angelina replied coldly.
Upon hearing this, Harvey looked at Linda with disbelief and retorted, "Did you go to Aiden's medical center?"
"What's the problem?" Linda glanced at Harvey as she asked.
It stirred anger in Harvey, and his hands trembled with fury as he retorted, "Do you want to bring disgrace to the Gray Family?"

Linda was confused by the sudden disunity in her family. She thought with frustration and bewilderment, I've always prioritized my family in every action, but now I've become an outcast. Even my dear daughter is growing distant from me and is now giving me a last warning.
Frustrated, Linda headed straight out of the neighborhood.
Angelina and Harvey exited their rooms, finding the living room empty. Angelina asked, "Dad, Mom left. Should we try to bring her back?"
"No need to bother with her. Crying, throwing tantrums, and threatening suicide have always been her way. She will come back on her own soon enough!" Harvey retorted with anger.
I tried to make Angelina understand yesterday, hoping things would get better between her and Aiden. As it turns out, Linda went to the medical center. Without having to think, she must be asking Aiden for money! That's all this woman cares about! he thought, shaking his head in frustration.
After hearing her father's words, Angelina nodded in agreement. She assumed her mother would be gone only temporarily. With that, she returned to her room.
The next day, Angelina went to Aiden's medical center after completing her morning run. Given her sweaty state, she opted for a quick shower before heading out.
Meanwhile, Linda visited the mall alone after leaving the house, contemplating a purchase to soothe her unsettled emotions. While passing a jade store, her eyes sparked with interest at seeing a beautiful young lady trying on a bracelet. Linda hurried over to the scene.
"Excuse me, could you bring me that bracelet to have a look?" Linda asked, promptly taking a seat in the customer's chair.
The salesperson replied with a smile, "Hello, this madam is currently trying it on. Since we only have one jade bracelet in our store, please wait a moment."
"I want to see it now!" Linda demanded rudely.
"Well..." the salesperson hesitated while looking at Linda.
Just then, the beautiful young lady trying on the bracelet turned around, addressing Linda, "Can't you see I'm trying it on? It's very impolite to act like this."
