Alpha Damon (Sienna) novel Chapter 147

“You need to run, Luna. You need to hold on to him and run.” I heard her say as she encouraged her.

Marissa, Tatiana, pushed her toward the window. I watched, paralyzed, as Evelyn leapt through it with Damon in her

arms.

Then the fire surged.

I saw my Tatiana’s hands pressed against the glass, skin blistering, eyes locked on mine.

And then…

The floor gave way.

Her body vanished into the flame.

And all I had left was the sound of my men shouting, and the last memory of her eyes, filled not with fear, but with peace.

She died to save them.

And I let her.

Because I was a coward.

Because I loved her too much to drag her back… and hated her too much to run in after her.

I still hear her scream in my sleep.

Still see her burn every time I close my eyes.

But soon… soon, I’ll make them all pay for that night.

And maybe then… I’ll finally stop hearing her voice.

End of Flashback.

“And now?” Mikhail asked, breaking my train of thoughts.

I looked at him. “Now she’ll finish what Tatia was too weak to understand. She will burn down the Lockwood. She will end them. She should have allowed me to be the one to do it, but since she did not, her daughter is going to be the one to finish the job.”

“And if she fails?”

“She won’t,” I said, too quickly.

But Mikhail was already watching me with that damn expression, the one that said he saw too much.

“You said the same thing about Lysandra.”

Not ever.

“She is the tool to finish this war,” I said coldly. “But once she’s done, once Damon is broken, the pack in ruin, and that child ripped from their arms…”

I turned back to the window, my voice dropping to a whisper.

“She’s going to have to go too.”

Mikhail stepped forward. “You’d kill your own daughter?”

“I’d kill anything that stands in my way,” I said, eyes locked on the horizon. “Including her. Especially her.”

Silence.

Mikhail said nothing more.

Because he knew me.

He knew what I was capable of.

And he knew I meant every word.
