Giovanni:
“No, please, please don’t.” The maid tried to escape, but I laughed, shaking my head before biting into her neck. I ate her flesh and watched her fall, her body going lifeless within seconds.
“But I am hungry. I believe that you know that the alpha should never be hungry.” I whispered before dropping her body. ” You all die very quickly. Why don’t you let me enjoy you?”
Blood dripped from my fingertips, falling slowly, rhythmically onto the marble floor beneath my feet. Each drop echoed louder than it should have, louder than the faint gasps and screams that had long since faded into silence.
I smirked as I stared into space, watching the view in front of me, not saying a word, not even caring about what I saw.
The air was thick, rich with the iron tang of blood, a scent that I found intoxicatingly beautiful. Ascend there reminded me of my reality, of who I was, of everything that I wanted to become, of the fear that I was making them live in. It coated every inch of my skin, soaked into the fabric of my clothes, and mingled with the sweat that trickled down my temples. My chest rose and fell steadily, my breath coming out in slow, calm exhales despite the destruction around me.
My home, my fortress, was now a ruin. Walls cracked, furniture shattered, glass shards glittering like fallen stars beneath my feet. Bodies were scattered everywhere, their lifeless eyes wide with fear and confusion.
Many of them tried to run, others tried to hide. I simply sighed, but neither one of them was able to escape.
They were weak. They were unworthy. They tried to defend her, some of them at least, and even those who did not. They did not do anything to stop them.
And right now, I had no more room for weakness in my world. I refused it with everything that I had.
His jaw tightened, eyes flickering with a disgust he failed to hide. “If you say so, Alpha.”
“Oh, I do say so,” I murmured softly, stepping toward him slowly, dangerously. “You doubt me? You’re not frightened of me, are you?”
He quickly shook his head, eyes dropping submissively. “Never. I am respecting you, but I’m not frightened, Alpha. I believe that you know that my loyalty lies to you.”
“Good,” I said coldly, my lips curling into a cruel smile. “Because doubt has no place here. Doubt is weakness. And we’ve already established what happens to weakness. As for those that are not loyal, this is going to be an easy punishment for them. They all have yet to see my rage.”
