Alpha Damon (Sienna) novel Chapter 231

A soft, melodic chuckle sounded from behind me, a familiar voice, one I’d longed to hear, yet feared just as deeply. Loved and missed for so long and now she was back.

“You’re doing beautifully, Giovanni,” she purred softly, her voice like a siren’s song, hypnotic and terrifying all at once. “All of them are paying the price that they deserve.”

Theon’s eyes widened in shock, mouth opening as if to speak, but no words came.

Slowly, I turned to face her.

Marissa.

Or Tatiana, as she’d once been called. Her true name, the name that she was born with. I refused to want to see her as a Marissa, the weak woman that she has become. But then again, names were irrelevant now. She was a different woman now, a different person. She stood before me, bathed in the eerie glow of the setting sun filtering through the shattered windows, her hair cascading around her face, eyes glinting with dark amusement. My breath caught at her beauty, as perfect as the day I’d lost her, no, as perfect as the day she betrayed me. As perfect as I’ve seen her, and I’ve always remembered her.

But she was here now, wasn’t she? My Marissa. My Tatiana. She had returned.

“You…” Theon’s voice trembled, recognition flaring in his gaze. “You’re supposed to be dead.”

She smiled, a wicked, enchanting curve of her lips. Her gaze slid lazily toward him, eyes glittering dangerously. He took a step back, his heart racing against his chest.

“Hello, Theon,” she said sweetly, her tone dripping with dark charm. “Goodbye, Theon.”

His expression shifted instantly, the defiance draining from his face, replaced by emptiness. His body grew rigid, his eyes glassy, completely under her trance. Theon stood motionless, waiting for her next command like a puppet waiting for its strings to be pulled.

She stepped closer, her fingers brushing over my bloodied knuckles gently. Her touch was cold, colder than death itself, yet so oddly comforting.

A shiver ran through me, anticipation flooding my veins.

“Yes,” I murmured darkly. “Soon.”

And as the sun dipped below the horizon, the darkness embraced us, two monsters standing side by side, ready to watch the world burn beneath our feet.

“Very, very soon, my beloved…”
