Alpha Damon (Sienna) novel Chapter 276

“I do,” I replied. “Because if I don’t, someone else breaks. And I think that you know the as your Luna I am not carrying enough.”

His eyes narrowed, but he didn’t argue. I knew that he wanted to, but thankfully he chose to stay quiet.

He reached up, brushing a strand of hair from my face. “Come with me.”

I followed him without question.

Up the stairs, through the halls, into our room. The moment the door shut, I exhaled. My shoulders dropped. The weight of it all pressed against me, but I stood tall. He watched me in silence for a few moments before he took a step towards me. I still made sure to keep my head high.

Until I felt his arms around me.

I broke.

“I’m scared,” I whispered.

“I know,” he said, pulling me closer. “I saw it in your eyes and that is why I chose to bring you here.”

I leaned into his chest, my fists resting on his shirt. “What if I carry what she left behind? The blood, that is on her hands? What if I end up being the one to carry it? You saw how everyone is looking at me, Damon.”

“You carry her blood,” he said, voice firm. “Not her soul. You carry your strength. Your choices. And I’ve seen what you are, Sienna. You’re not her. Not even close. And whatever they say, whatever they try to say, they have no right to do so. When it comes to situation like this, you are their Luna, and they are obliged to respect you. To be loyal to you to appreciate your presence.”

“Damon, my mother, if I can call her that, is the reason why everything is happening. The way that is, they all see it.”

“I know, but it is still not your fault. Whoever that woman is, is not your mother either, and I think that you know that very well. Your mother died. Everyone saw her die. Whatever this is, this is a monster that you have no control over, and you’re not going to blame yourself for that.”

I looked up at him, and this time, I let him see everything, my pain, my love, my desperation to feel something that wasn’t fear.

He kissed me.

His hands explored every inch of me with reverence.

I met his gaze as he entered me, slow, steady, like he needed to feel every second of it. My breath hitched, but I didn’t look away. I kept my eyes open and I knew that he was enjoying it just as much as I did.

We moved in sync, breaths mingling, hearts pounding. Nothing rough, nothing rushed. We had all the time in the world, regardless of it not being true at that moment, it was what it was.

Just us.

I arched into him, fingers gripping his shoulders, moaning softly as he pressed deeper, his forehead resting against mine.

“I’ve got you,” he whispered. “Always. And I’m never letting you go, Sienna…”
