Sam watched as Madison tried so desperately to defend herself. His emotions were tangled. Part of him wanted to believe her, but reason forced him to stay calm.
The project managers insisted on a full investigation, leaving him no choice but to agree.
"Ms. Quinn, please come with me to the next office. We need to search you," said Cassandra Hill, one of Sam's female bodyguards who usually stayed hidden to protect Madison.
Not recognizing her, Madison assumed she was just another staff member and followed without question. Meanwhile, others began checking her computer and phone records.
Once inside, Cassandra gave Madison a once-over, her eyes filled with disdain. Her tone turned sharp. "Take off your clothes."
Madison frowned, confusion flashing across her face. "Excuse me? A search doesn't require taking my clothes off."
It didn't, but Cassandra just wanted to humiliate her.
"This is for a more thorough check," Cassandra said coolly. "Unless you're guilty and afraid of what I might find?"
Madison's lips curved faintly, and her eyes sharpened. "You don't have to bait me. Either conduct the search properly, or I'll ask Sam if stripping down is part of your protocol."
Cassandra stiffened, unable to respond. After a pause, she muttered resentfully, "Fine. We'll do it this way."
Her hands moved roughly over Madison's body, every touch forceful enough to bruise. Her shoulders and arms stung from the pressure. It was clear this woman had a personal grudge.
Madison's expression darkened. Just as she was about to speak, Cassandra suddenly yanked off the top button of her blouse. "Found it. A pinhole camera."
The icy declaration rang in Madison's ear. Her gaze darted to the tiny device in disbelief. "That's impossible. How did that get on me?"
