"Isabel is dead. What's there to handle? Just offer compensation and condolences," Catherine said.

"And Selena?"

"That's not my problem. Whoever's girl she is can deal with her."

Catherine was growing annoyed. "What do you think Adrian is playing at?" If it was all for Selena, why would he let news of his marriage become public? And if he didn't want a divorce, why would he stand by while Isabel announced their marital status, only to then protect Selena so fiercely?

"And then there's Grey Zone..."

"Catherine, let's not talk about this now," Alexander cut her off. "Take a break. We can talk later."

Catherine realized she had almost misspoken. They weren't at home, after all. They had to be careful; walls have ears. If Grey Zone was connected to Adrian, then she and Alexander needed to be even more cautious.

"Let me know when you're coming back, brother."

"I will."
