Blizzard, First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 220

Drinking alone was no fun.

"I have some things to do in the lab tonight."

Julian poured himself a glass but didn't press the issue.

Evelyn's eyes were full of anticipation, her glass already raised, but after waiting for a while, he still hadn't poured her any.

Julian took a sip, glancing at her sideways. "Are you planning on moving in?"

Evelyn grabbed the bottle and poured a glass for herself. She could smell the rich aroma before it even touched her lips, an irresistible temptation for a wine lover like her.

She quickly took a sip, savoring it with a satisfied smack of her lips.

"Mr. Reed, could I buy a bottle of this from you?"

Julian said, "This wine is a collector's item. How exactly do you propose I sell it?"

Evelyn retorted, "Others might not know, but I do. The original owner of this winery gambled it away to you in your casino. It's not available anywhere else because you bought up the entire stock for your personal collection."

"Is that so?" Julian swirled the wine in his glass, his smiling words infuriating. "Sorry, still not for sale."

"..."

Evelyn looked to Isabel for help, but Isabel said, "It's not mine, so I don't have a say."

"But you're getting married."

"It's still his pre-marital asset."

Evelyn was about to say more when Julian cut in, "If you want to have another glass, you'd better shut up."

Evelyn shut up.

After dinner, Isabel took Edmund to the lab.

Evelyn had come to see her in the first place, and being alone in a room with Julian wasn't appropriate.

So she followed them to the lab.

She couldn't help but complain, "Not a romantic bone in his body. No wonder he's never had a girlfriend at his age. If it weren't for the circumstances, you'd be wasted on him."

Isabel found it amusing. All this over a bottle of wine. She smiled helplessly. "That's not what you said before."
