Oliver's eyes lit up in an instant, and he immediately turned to look at her. "Auntie Selena, do you really have a way?"
"I do."
But before Selena could say more, Adrian interrupted, "No need. I'll bring him over when I'm done with my work. I'll figure something out. Since you have time to rest, you should focus on that. Your health is the most important thing; you don't need to get dragged into this mess with us."
Selena smiled gently. "You don't have to be so formal with me. I don't want Oliver to keep having trouble eating and sleeping, either. I'm happy to help where I can."
Adrian refused again. "Aurelia City isn't as safe as Westbridge. The Grey Zone isn't a hundred percent secure, and Julian fought his way out of a bloodbath. He may seem easygoing, but his methods are ruthless. I don't feel comfortable with you here."
A sweet feeling bloomed in Selena's chest, and she nodded obediently. "Then I'll listen to you."
Oliver was unhappy again, but there was nothing he could do.
His father was an adult, after all. He couldn't win a fight against him.
He never expected, however, to see Isabel at the airport.
He immediately sprinted toward her. "Mommy!"
Isabel was there to pick up Amanda and her family.
Julian had only told her that morning that the Parkers were coming.
Martha had already recovered and had made breakfast that morning; otherwise, they would have been in a rush with such sudden news.
"You got the news last night and didn't think to tell me in advance."
Isabel's eyes were fixed on the arrivals gate. The airport was noisy, and she hadn't noticed the cry of "Mommy."
"What's the big deal? You don't need to put on makeup. We had plenty of time to get here after a bite to eat. Besides, you were running an experiment last night and said not to disturb you. How was I supposed to tell you?"
Isabel knew he was doing it on purpose, but she just shot him a glare and said nothing more.
Just as she spotted Amanda and was about to wave, she felt a small pair of arms wrap around her legs.
She looked down.
The moment she saw Oliver, the smile vanished from her face.
"You again?" Julian pulled him away, just in time to see Adrian and Selena walking over.
"Well, well, a family of three on vacation, are we?"
