Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 245

Giselle ignored the pain in her elbow and tried to push herself off the floor. However, the very next second, the man pounced on her like a wild animal, one hand pressing her head down while the other worked quickly at his belt.

Instinctively, she tried to fight back, thrashing against his hold. Yet, it lasted only seconds before he pulled the gun from his waistband and pressed the cold barrel to her temple.

Her body went rigid, and she didn't dare move a muscle.

Closing her eyes, she told herself it didn't matter; it didn't matter who she was doing it with. Survival came first. In the end, she gave in.

A moment later, the man shoved her onto a nearby bed and tore her clothes apart in rough, hurried movements. He was about to take things further when Giselle suddenly said in Edevanian, "Sir, I… I have AIDS! Are you sure you still want to do it with me?"

After hearing that, the man immediately stopped what he was doing. His predatory, lust-clouded eyes shot daggers at her, filled with suspicion and anger.

He grabbed her by the chin and demanded in Valanthean, "Is that true?"

Giselle felt as if he might break her jaw. Through the pain, she nodded. "Yes. I'm telling you the truth." With that, she took out a crumpled, partially torn A4 sheet from inside her underwear and explained in Edevanian, "This is my medical report from back home. I was diagnosed last year…"

No matter how desperate or lust-driven the overseer was, he wouldn't dare risk it after seeing the report. Legitimate or not, he would never gamble with his own life.

From the moment she was trafficked out of her country to being sold here, the report had saved her from assault more than once. This time, with the dangerous foreign man in front of her, she'd only tried it on the off chance it might work, and to her surprise, it did.

Unwilling to gamble with his life, the man backed off. He ripped the crumpled report to shreds and tossed it into the trash. However, not touching her didn't mean he was done with her.

The man had something else in mind. Soon, he gave her another order.
