Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 246

"From now on, you'd better treat the customers well. If you dare tell anyone about your illness, I'll make sure you die in the worst way imaginable!" The man threatened Giselle while pressing the gun to her head.

In his eyes, she was no different from the other women here—a tool he had purchased to make money. The fact that he couldn't use her didn't mean he wouldn't hand her over to the men who came here to use her.

"Alright," she responded.

The man slid his gun back into his waistband. Still burning with desire and nowhere to release it, he spun around, grabbed a woman who was passing by, and pinned her against the wall.

The men here were no different from beasts, treating women as if they were mere tools for sex. Killing came as easily to them as breathing. They embodied the ugliest, most ruthless side of humanity.

After what had just happened, Giselle's mind had gradually calmed. No matter how hopeless this place felt, she refused to be broken and turned into a lifeless puppet under their control.

Yet, getting out of here was easier said than done. It was almost impossible.

Right now, all she wanted was to stay alive. As long as she could hold on to this wretched life, the future held endless possibilities.

After returning to her moldy bed, surrounded by darkness and the occasional bloodcurdling screams from nearby rooms, she closed her eyes and let herself dream. If only she could wake up to find herself in her own bed at home, and all of this was nothing more than a nightmare.

The next day, two male handlers arrived with news. Customers had arrived. Giselle and five other women were ordered to freshen up and get ready.

Giselle washed her face, ran a comb through her hair, and slipped into one of the skimpy, low-cut, short dresses they provided before following the others out of the dorm. The women were brought to a room on the first floor, where they lined up in a row while the men chose.

Giselle stole a glance at the men. Their features marked them as men of the Southeast Region—fierce eyes, strong jaws, and solid, muscular frames. They scanned the women the way someone might browse a menu, picking out whichever one caught their eye.
