Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 298

Giselle was momentarily swept away by Donovan's sweet words before she suddenly came back to her senses.

"Do you think you can simply erase the past by saying a couple of nice things to me?" She scoffed.

"Forgiving me is your choice, but I get to decide if I still want to hold onto our relationship," he said with his arms still around her. "I'm not going to let you go just because you've given up on us."

Giselle, who was already physically and mentally exhausted, didn't have the energy to argue with him any further.

She was finally beginning to see through his tactics. Ultimately, his strategy boiled down to being utterly shameless and persistent. No matter how much she rejected him or voiced her disdain, he'd simply ignore her.

She hadn't even brought up how much he hurt her in the past. He behaved like a lust-driven animal with a complete disregard for her feelings.

"Your tactics might work on other women, but they won't work on me," she declared as she tried to break free from his hold.

Instead of letting Giselle go, Donovan's desires got the better of him. He pushed her onto the bed in the guest room and started kissing her neck in a frenzied manner.

Giselle simply couldn't bring herself to be intimate with him. When she remembered that he'd gotten Anne pregnant in the past, she felt even more repulsed.

She struggled against him and tried to get up. But to her dismay, he started pinning her down even harder.

Donovan hadn't slept with Giselle since they decided to end their relationship. After the pair had broken up, he hadn't slept with anyone else either. Because of this, he was currently overwhelmed by lust and desire.

He didn't care about how much she despised him. On top of that, he didn't care about how she was struggling against him either.

His gaze looked manic. He was panting heavily and behaving as if he were a ravenous animal.

Staring at him as though he was a madman, she yelled, "Are you out of your mind? I don't have time for your crazy behavior. Get out!"

Before he could try anything else, she pushed him out of the room with all her might and slammed the door shut. After closing the door in his face, she locked it from the inside too.

Donovan was once again locked outside. He couldn't force his way into the room. Hence, he ended up standing in front of her door for a couple of minutes. Ultimately, he didn't continue to bother her and turned to leave.

On his way out, he noticed that the slippers she'd flung off of her feet were scattered across the floor. So, before he left, he patiently picked them up and placed them neatly by the door.

He returned to his car and drove out of her neighborhood.

Leaning against the back rest, he kept one hand on the steering wheel and slowly cruised down the road. He felt weary, lost, and empty.
