"What's going on?" Donovan asked quizzically.
He hadn't paid much attention to the matter. So, Renee's statement confused him.
When he looked lost, Renee explained that she'd acquired an over-the-counter gastrointestinal medicine from Kane Group for more than 100 million dollars. Although the contract had been signed and the payment had been made, the products hadn't been shipped out yet. So, she wanted to cancel the deal and stop her purchase.
Donovan didn't want to waste his time on her.
"This isn't a retail store for clothes. You can't just refund your items whenever you want. Since the contract has already been signed, everything will just proceed accordingly," he declared.
"I understand that, but our families are well-acquainted with each other, Don. There's no need to have such rigid rules and regulations. I made a rash decision and ordered too much of the drug.
"However, my company ran into some issues with our cash flow recently, so I have no choice but to call off the restock. It's no big deal—you just have to process the refund and transfer the payment I made back to my account."
Before Donovan could say anything, Giselle scoffed. "Your troubles with cash flow have nothing to do with us. There's no way we're refunding you the money. If everyone behaved like you did and didn't follow the rules, we wouldn't be able to run a business anymore!"
"Shut your mouth! You have no right to intervene!" Renee barked at Giselle.
"I told you this ages ago. All your dealings with Kane Group will be handled by Giselle from now on," Donovan said coolly. "You can discuss the refund amongst yourselves."
Based on what he'd just said, he was allowing Giselle to have the final say on the matter.
"There's nothing to discuss," Giselle promptly declared. "We are not refunding her. I'll ask our warehouse manager to dispatch the order as soon as possible. After all, the quality of our products are all top notch."
