After Tony left for the police station and Anne staggered off to Renee's hospital room, Giselle quietly moved to Vivienne's side.
"Vivi, don't cry," Giselle said as she hugged Vivienne.
Then, Giselle offered empty words of comfort, "What's done is done. You need to stay strong. You're carrying a child… No matter what, try your best to accept it."
"No…" Vivienne replied.
Her face was deathly pale, and her eyes were swollen from crying. She trembled as if her soul had been drained, shaking her head over and over. "I can't accept it… I really can't… Selle, what should I do? Please help me… I feel like I'm dying too…"
Giselle could only hold her tighter and comfort her. "Calm down. I'm here with you."
But Vivienne kept choking out broken words through sobs. "I don't believe it. I can't just lose him like this. I refuse to believe it. I don't… I can't… This must be a nightmare…"
Giselle had no idea how to comfort her. At a time like this, any words felt hollow and powerless.
When Vivienne calmed down a bit, Giselle helped her up and gave her some water. Only then did she finally manage to piece together the rough story from Vivienne.
That afternoon, Vivienne had gone to one of Sebastian's residences to look for him. But when she opened the door and went upstairs, the stench of blood hit her. In the bathroom, she found Sebastian collapsed in a pool of blood on the floor.
Terrified, Vivenne immediately called the police and the ambulance.
By the time the ambulance arrived, Sebastian still had a breath left in him. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
