Lauren looked up at Giselle. After obtaining the key information, Giselle gave her a silent signal to hang up.

Lauren finally ended the call. "Okay, Ms. Holt. That makes me feel a lot better. I've been on edge the past few days, so I just wanted to check."

Anne reassured her, "Don't worry. From now on, keep your mouth shut. No matter what the Kane family or Donovan's wife does to threaten you, just act like you didn't hear it. The safest move is to refuse any meetings."
