Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 552

In the photo, Giselle stood by a lakeshore at sunset, holding a dog in her arms. She was smiling softly at the camera. Her eyes were dark and deep, carrying that faint mixed-blood allure, like a sea of stars hidden within, endless and unfathomable.

Marselle stared at the picture in silence for ten long seconds. Then her gaze fell on the message beneath it, "She's still alive." Her pulse quickened.

The sender's profile was almost empty. There was no picture, just a string of meaningless letters. She had no idea who this person was or how they were connected to Donovan.

She glanced at Donovan. He was still fast asleep, motionless, completely unaware.

She couldn't tell whether the message was real or fake, but she knew one thing for certain—if he saw it, the consequences would be explosive.

Her mind was tangled in hesitation. Logic urged her to walk away—pretend she'd seen nothing, leave the villa, leave Valanthea, return to her home in Singario, and completely forget the thought of marrying him.

However, the sight of Donovan's handsome, sleeping face—which made her chest ache—instantly countered her logic. At the thought of his powerful background and the expectation of the family alliance, a reckless idea seized her.

Taking a deep breath, she opened her own phone, scanned his WhatsApp to add him, and forwarded the photo to herself.

Then she deleted both the photo and the message.

Finally, posing as Donovan, she typed a reply, "I'm getting married soon. Don't contact me again."

After sending it, she blocked and deleted the stranger's account.

Her hands trembled slightly as she placed Donovan's phone back exactly where it had been. Nothing looked disturbed.

No man had ever humiliated her like that. The sting of those words was almost physical.

"Really?" she said, glaring at him, her voice tight.

"Don't show up in front of me again," Donovan replied. Then he turned to Benjamin. "Benjamin, from now on, no one comes in without my permission."

Benjamin hesitated. "Mr. Kane, Ms. Sterling was brought here by Mr. Zachary. He said she was your fiancee, so I—"

"Do as I said." Donovan cut him off and strode toward the door, car keys in hand.
