Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 602

At that moment, Marselle stood up from the couch and walked toward Donovan and Giselle with a bright smile.

"Mr. Kane, nice to see you again. It's been a few days."

Then, she turned to Giselle and smiled mockingly. "And you must be Ms. Holt, right? I heard from Mrs. Kane Senior about your little back-from-death miracle. Congratulations on reuniting with Mr. Kane."

Giselle stared at Marselle for a while and then asked knowingly, "And you are?"

"I'm Marselle Sterling. Not long ago, I was your husband's so-called fiancee. Awkward, isn't it?" Marselle sounded polite on the surface, but every word dripped with provocation.

Donovan's expression darkened instantly. "Leave right now. That so-called engagement was nonsense. And I was never involved in it. Now that you've seen my wife is back, there's nothing more to talk about. Get out!"

He still remembered how much he had wanted to strangle her when she threatened him with those photos last time.

Now that he had found Giselle, he had no interest in dredging up the past. All he wanted was for Marselle to disappear from his sight.

Giselle scoffed. "Ms. Sterling, since you're here, that makes you our guest. I'm sorry we came back late and didn't welcome you properly. Why don't you stay for dinner and treat it as my husband's apology for that failed engagement of yours?"

Marselle gave a cold laugh and replied, "Dinner won't be unnecessary. Honestly, I'm happy for you two. I'm just here to take back something that belongs to me."

"What do you want?" Donovan asked.

"My earrings," Marselle said with a chuckle.
