Rain
I had a plan and the plan was to do something romantic with Lia. It didn’t matter if it led to something more, but I wanted the two of us to spend some quality time together. The two of us hadn’t spent any time together with it just being us.
None of the guys had been able to spend any quality time with her either because of all the shit going on in our lives. This wasn’t going to happen any longer.
I had racked my brain, trying to think of something to do, and then I realized that I was going to surprise Lia with a private picnic in a meadow that was nearby.
So I decided to go to her door to talk with her, letting her know that I was taking her out on a date.
Well, if she wanted to go out on a date. She was perfectly capable of saying no. and could say no. I didn’t care if she did or not.
No, that was a lie. I wanted her to say yes, but if she didn’t want to go, then this was fine too. Lia was her person and could decide what she wanted to do.
“I’m taking you out tomorrow,” I said, leaning against the doorframe of Lia’s room like I hadn’t just sprinted up the stairs to find her before I chickened out.
She looked up from her book, one brow arching. “Out where? Please tell me it doesn’t involve surprise training drills or another ‘survival bonding’ hike.”
“Nope,” I said, puffing out my chest just a little. “A meadow. Sunset. Blankets. Candles. Romantic picnic, the whole thing.” Lia blinked. “You planned a picnic?”
“I did,” I said proudly, stepping into the room. “Very romantic. I even picked the meadow myself. It’s got wildflowers and everything. You’re going to love it.”
“Did someone hit you on the head recently?” she asked, eyeing me suspiciously. “Or is this some kind of elaborate prank?” “Wow, so much faith,” I muttered. “No prank Just me being a thoughtful, incredibly handsome mate.”
She slowly closed her book, eyes narrowing slightly. “Rain… did you cook?”
I hesitated, then held up both hands like I was confessing to a crime. “Okay, listen, no. I didn’t cook” “Thank god,” she sighed, flopping back dramatically on the bed.
It was a little mean when people kept talking about how I should be banned from the kitchen and couldn’t cook. Except then I realized that anytime I tried to cook anything, I ended up in a situation where something always ended up on fire.
This was why we had so many fire extinguishers in the house. The last time I counted, there were about at least four of them stashed throughout the kitchen.
“Hey!” I pouted, offended and deeply wounded. “That’s so rude.” “Rain, you burned toast. In a toaster.”
“Once! And technically it was a bagel, and the toaster was on fire before I got there.” “That’s not helping your case.”
“I could cook,” I mumbled, crossing my arms.
“You absolutely cannot,” Lia said, now grinning and enjoying herself far too much. “You once called boiling water ‘a dangerous endeavor.'”
“It is dangerous! Steam burns are a real thing!”
She was laughing now, full-on giggling, and I tried to stay mad, but it was impossible when she looked that damn happy. “So, if you didn’t cook,” she asked, wiping a tear from her eye, “who did?”
“I hired a caterer,” I muttered.
It was something I had to admit, no matter how embarrassing it was. The fact of the matter was I needed of hire a caterer. “Wait?”
“Yes,” I grumbled. “Fancy, romantic, forest-picnic approved catering. Happy now?” “Oh, very. I might survive the experience.”
I flopped onto the bed beside her with a dramatic groan. “You wound me. This is abuse.” She rolled onto her side, smirking. “You love it.”
“…Yeah,” I admitted, peeking at her from under my arm. “I kind of do.”
She reached out, brushing her fingers lightly through my hair. “You’re ridiculous.” “You like ridiculous.”
“Unfortunately, I do.”
I smirked, shifting us so she was spread across her lap. Her cloth-covered sex was pressed right against my erection, which was growing by the second. She started wiggling against me, and I couldn’t help but draw her into a passionate kiss.
My hands slid around to grip the cheeks of her ass, grinding against her with as much strength as I could muster. Moaning into the kiss, Lia wrapped her arms around me and was wiggling, trying to increase her pleasure from that delicious friction.
The friction was a double-edged sword. While we were also annoyed by it and hating the fact that we couldn’t throw our clothes off, getting intimate right out here also added a little something to us.
But at the same time, there was something very arousing to it. We were trying to grind against each other, making me feel like wewere young lovers. The two of us weren’t that old, but we were fully mated and had been together for a long time now.
“Fuck Rain,” she whispered, tilting her head to the side so I could have access to her neck “I need more.”
Without another word, I slipped two fingers into her pants and cupped her damp, sexy. Lia looked at me, blushing but then giggling. She did the same thing, slipping her hands into my pants and touching my erection.
The two of us were kissing passionately, touching each other in unison. It was great, and the idea of us being caught was making my pleasure grow. Not that I thought the two of us were going to get caught. No way would the two of us ever get caught out here.
It was Lia who came first, my lips swallowing her cry. Then I growled against her lips, coming right there in her hand. After it was over, we ignored the wet mess in our pants and lay down on the blanket.
“I missed this,” she murmured. “Just us. Just this.” She snuggled against me, smiling.
I grinned back
I pressed my forehead to hers, trying to slow my breathing. “Me too.” We didn’t need to rush it. We had forever.
But for now, right here in the quiet night, with the stars above and her wrapped around me like she belonged there… we had everything.
Yawning, the two of us did doze out there for a while, but eventually we decided to go straight home after packing up everything.
It had been fucking amazing to spend the night with Lia. I looked forward to the two of us being able to spend some more quality time together, but for now, this was going to be enough, and I didn’t need any more.
