Zhao Mu’s eyes brightened like two shining stones. "Really?!" he almost shouted. He looked at Liu Shan with such joy that Su Qinglan had to look away before she burst into laughter again.

He leaned closer to his female, looking as if he was about to kiss her right there in front of everyone. But at the last moment, he stopped himself, clearing his throat awkwardly, though his ears had already turned red.

Then he turned back to Su Qinglan, his tone suddenly serious. "Female Qinglan... I really cannot repay your kindness. You saved her life and even gave her the chance to bear cubs again. If there’s ever anything...anything...you want, I am willing to give my life for it."

The moment Bai Ling and the other females reached the cave, Su Qinglan found herself surrounded before she could even say anything.

Bai Ling was the first to speak, her eyes wide with concern. "Qinglan jie, where did you disappear to these last two days? We were all so worried! Are you alright?"

Lin Muyu also stepped forward quickly, nodding. "Yes! We even went to your cave once, but you weren’t there. What happened?"

Su Qinglan blinked at them, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Something happened..." she said lightly, brushing the question away. "But I’m fine now."

Her tone was too calm and too casual, and both Bai Ling and Lin Muyu could tell she didn’t want to talk about it. So they just exchanged glances and decided not to press further.

But most of the other females who had followed them looked restless. They were whispering among themselves, their eyes darting from Su Qinglan to Liu Shan and back again.
