Declan knew who the other scent belonged to. It was alpha Caden. It was faint, which meant, they just had sex, but the alpha was not there, it was only Rania behind this closed door.

The royal beta balled his fists. His eyes filled with rage. If it was up to him, he was going to kill this woman to put so much shame on the king.

How could she have sex with another man after she was being marked by her mate? This woman was so hateful, and full of lust. She wa \\still trying to get the alpha’s attention when her mate was inside the same building.

Unfortunately, Maximus wanted her.

“Open the door!” Declan banged his fist against the door. He didn’t want to stay there for long, and breathed these suffocating scents. “Do you hear me?! Open the damn door!”

It took him five minutes, banging on the door before Rania’s pale face poked from the slightly ajar door. She looked at him with a blank expression.

She was using a blanket to cover her nakedness, and the sight of her disgusted him.

“Prepare yourself, we are going to leave in an hour,” Declan said sternly. He glanced at the bed inside the room and spotted a stain of blood on the sheet.

“Where?” Rania asked, her voice was hoarse. Her eyes sunk into their sockets.

“Back to the palace.” Declan spat the words harshly. He couldn’t believe the king wanted to take this bitch back to the palace. The more he was standing there and breathing the air that filled with sex scent, the angrier he became.

Rania widened her eyes. “Back to the palace?” She reiterated what Declan told her in a small voice. Dread filled her eyes now.

“Pack your thing and be ready at the main garden!” Declan could see how her eyes were red. Without doubt, she had been crying. She must have begged the alpha to fuck her. She cried because she didn’t want to be marked by the Mad King.

This woman infatuation to the mate that had rejected her was crazy.

Rania flinched when Declan shouted at her, which the royal beta failed to notice, as he walked away without waiting to hear Rania’s

answer.

Meanwhile, after the beta left, Rania closed the door and slid down on the cold floor, like she did a few hours ago when she fled from the rage of the king.

Now, she was scared for her life. What the king would do to her?

Rania didn’t want to stay here, but she didn’t want to live with a mate, who hated her Someone, who would use violence to express themselves. She had enough of that already.

However, she couldn’t find a way to escape this place. The warriors were everywhere.

Grimacing, Rania pushed herself from the floor, and started to pack her things. She didn’t want to anger the king even more, if she was going to live with him.

Probably, if she was being obedient, he wouldn’t hurt her.

“The king will take her Caden stood up from his seat when he heard what Dorian said, he was his beta, newly appointed.

Dongu was the same age like Caden, he had green eyes with brown, curly hair that he cut short. He was half a head taller than the alpha,

but on the lanky side.

“Fuck, not” Caden howled. he stood up and paced back and forth in distressed. He couldn’t let the king take Rania away, She had to be

“She had sex with him after she left your room, what are you going to do about that?” Declan couldn’t help it, but blurted it out. “Are yo still going to take her with you?” He asked incredulously, because it didn’t make sense for him.

Maximus sad nothing, but his electric blue eyes were a shade darker. The Mad King was the scariest when he didn’t say anything, because you didn’t know when he was going to explode.

And as if on cue, someone knocked on the door, and Caden’s scent travelled inside the room, which made Declan scrunched his nose.

Do you want to meet with him?” Declan looked at the king worriedly, while the new alpha asked for a moment to speak with the king.

Maximus smirked. “Why not?” he chuckled, which made cold run Declan’s spine.

“Don’t kill him, okay? Don’t do anything stupid.” Declan was stern with Maximus about this. “You can’t start a civil war because of a woman like Rania.”

“Relax, he only wants to talk, right?” Maximus leaned his back against the sofa, his electric blue eyes flashed with malice. That was why Declan couldn’t trust him. “Open the door and let the bastard in.”

“Don’t do anything rash, Max.”

Maximus raised his brows, as if he wanted to challenge his beta about it.

And when the door opened Caden stepped inside the room, he was shock to see the wreckage room, and rooted on the spot, didn’t dare to venture further inside the bedroom.

-What are you doing there, alpha? Come here, have a seat. It’s a little bit messy here.” Maximus waved his hand, like a predator tempted their prey.

And somehow, Caden felt like he was walking towards the gallows.
