Rania had been in the palace once when she was little, when her beta father took her with him when he went to the Central City.

At that time, Rania was showered by his love. He was the father that any little girls could ask for, but now, she wondered when thing started to change.

This place was still magical. Huge buildings with intricated sculpture on every gigantic pillar that supported the building.

There were four main buildings here from what Rania remembered her father explained to her long time ago.

The main building was the alpha’s castle, which was placed in the center, while the other buildings belonged to the royal beta, the royal gamma, and the warrior quarter respectively.

The whole place covered hundred of acres lands, it almost felt like there was a city inside a city. Not to mention with how traditional it

was.

The buildings itself had been built from hundred of years ago, and had never undergone any change, which added to the magical feeling when you stepped in the royal palace.

Currently, Declan took Rania to the king palace, this place alone was a hundred times bigger than the Black Stone pack house.

Rania followed three steps behind him, as she looked around the place. When she was here years ago, her father only took her to the gamma palace and the warrior quarter; therefore, this was the first time she was in the king palace, and everything looked majestic.

If it was not for her predicament, and her exhaustion, she would enjoy the sight of it. She wondered, where she would sleep. Would the royal beta take her to the omega’s place? She didn’t mind that, she had been living as an omega, and worked like one, as the alpha had demoted her rank.

“You will sleep here,” Declan said gruffly. He then pointed at the door next to hers. “That’s the king’s bedroom. Don’t bother him.”

Declan knew Maximus well enough to tell that he wouldn’t be in his bedroom now, but in the training ground, beating some unlucky warriors to let out some steam.

“Here?” Rania blinked her eyes in disbelief. The room next to the alpha was the room for the queen Technically, she would be the queen, since she was the king’s mate, and he had marked her.

However, it didn’t make things easier for her to stomach that new reality.

“Yeah, do you have any complain?” Declan narrowed his eyes. He wanted to put her in the omega’s space, but then it would reflect badly on Maximus if the future queen was treated as an omega. Not to mention she already had an unpleasant background.

Rania shook her head quickly, afraid that she would offend the royal beta in any capacity, but she felt uncomfortable. “But… did the king agree with this?

“You are wearing his mark, and everyone must have already learned about the dramatic marking in the alpha’s ceremony. You will be the future queen,” Declan’s voice dropped dramatically, as he scoffed. “If you are still alive, and the king wants to keep you.”

There was a smile curled on Delan’s lips when he saw how Rania shudder in fear. Good. She needed to stop thinking of another man, and started to please the king, if she wanted to live.

Personally, Declan couldn’t care less about Rania, since her infatuation toward alpha Caden was none of his business, but it was Maximus, who complicated the situation with his impulsiveness.

This was not the first time Declan had to clean up after his mess.

Therefore, she could only lower her head, and listened.

“Get inside,” Declan said coldly. His brows were slightly furrowed when he saw Rania was being very agreeable.

Rama didn’t need to be told twice, as she entered her room. She was very tired, but then she immediately came out again, because she forgot to ask an important question.

“Royal beta Declan,” Rania called him when he was about to leave. “Can I ask if I can use the kitchen?”

“For what?” Declan furrowed his brows. He just told her that she couldn’t cause trouble, but now she wanted to wander around the kitchen?

“I am hungry, can I cook something?” Rania had not yet eaten anything, she forgot when the last time she got a decent meal.

Declan didn’t answer her immediately, he seemed to contemplate something, before he finally spoke. “Someone will bring dinner to

your room.

Thank you.” Rania was surprised he would send someone to bring her food, but then she thought it was because he didn’t want her to be seen in the public too much. Rania didn’t mind that at all.

And after that, she closed the door, leaving the beta alone with his thought in the corridor, as he soon walked towards the training ground, where the king was.
