Kean didn’t trust her completely, that was why, she was holding back the information, but then Rania didn’t want to force her further. She simply asked the question.

“But, it will happen soon, right?” Rania shifted her attention back to the garden out there. The window glass was slightly dewy, since the sky had turned darker, and it seemed heavy rain would pour down.

Their conversation didn’t last long because not long after the king came, and Kean left the room. He sat down in front of Rania, staring at the woman with a questioning look.

Rania turned her head and then looked at him. He looked so healthy, as if he did not consume any poison in

the last few months.

“I am fine. Only a little bit tired.”

There was a soft smile on the corner of his lips. He was the one, who tired her out, and he was not sorry for that. If anything, he wanted to do it again, but he had something that he wanted to do with her.

“Change your dress, we will go outside,” Maximus said.

“Where?”

The king then stood up, and then took her to the walk in closet, where he picked a pretty purple dress with gold thread around its waist. Eiten had something to do with gold. All of the dress that he chose must have gold thread on them.

“Wear this,” Maximus handed the dress to Rania, and she furrowed her brows.

“Isn’t it too much?” Rania felt intimidated by the color. It was pretty, but she didn’t think it would look good on her, since it was too bold in her opinion, but Maximus didn’t think the same.

“No, it’s fine.” Maximus then leaned his back against the wall, and crossed his arms, indicating he was going to stay there to watch her change her clothes.

However, Rania felt a little bit embarrassed. It was one thing to be naked in front of him when they were ready to have sex, but it was another thing entirely if they were sober.

Therefore, Rania attempted to leave the room, but Maximus grabbed her elbow to stop her.

“Change here. I have seen everything, why are you being shy in front of me?”
