Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 173

“Korey, drive me back to Hawthorne Hall. Hurry.”

Conrad didn’t wait for a reply. He grabbed his phone and strode out the door, his steps quick and determined.

He barely made it to the underground garage before a Lamborghini screeched to a stop right in front of him. The driver’s door swung open and a stunning woman in a red dress stepped out, her legs long and her heels clicking against the concrete. She spotted Conrad and headed straight over, her brows already furrowed.

“Conrad, what’s going on? Your mom said you needed these documents right away and that I had to get them to you in ten minutes.”

Conrad barely spared her a glance. He got into his car, locked the doors, and didn’t look back.

“Korey, go,” he said tightly, as if he hadn’t even noticed the beautiful woman standing there.

He could feel it building inside him, something raw and uncontrollable. His cool, dark eyes burned red, and his hands clenched on his knees until his knuckles turned white. Sweat trickled down his forehead. It was a craving he’d never felt before, and his body was betraying him in ways he couldn’t ignore.

The woman in red was supposed to be the cure. He knew it. He also knew his mother had set this up, all because he’d let his guard down for a moment. The timing was too perfect, the whole scene too convenient. His mother’s intentions were crystal clear.

Conrad’s fists tightened until his joints popped. Anger pulsed in the veins at his temples. He’d been running the Sullivan Group since he was seventeen, clawing his way up through schemes and betrayals. A teenage billionaire was nothing but prey. Keeping the Sullivan legacy alive had been harder than walking through fire. Every win was a battle, every day a struggle. He’d risked his life more times than he could count, surviving plots and traps meant for him alone. And he’d made sure anyone who crossed him regretted it. Nobody underestimated him anymore.

Now, he was at the top, not just in Stonehill but everywhere. He’d taken his father’s company further than anyone thought possible. No one dared to plot against him. At least, that’s what he’d thought.

But today, the person who’d betrayed him was his own mother.

The anger simmered, hot and sharp. If he gave in now, he’d be nothing but a puppet. He would rather die than let that happen.

Korey hesitated, glancing at the woman blocking them. “Ms. Clements, please move. Mr. Sullivan has an urgent matter.”

Ms. Clements crossed her arms, anger flashing in her eyes. She didn’t notice anything off about Conrad. To her, this was just another snub.

“Conrad, are you serious? You think I wanted to drop everything and play messenger? If your mom hadn’t begged me, I wouldn’t be here, getting ignored. Get out here and tell me what’s going on!”

She slammed her hands on the hood, making it clear she wasn’t budging until she got an answer.
