Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 189

Wiona clenched her fists and tried to swallow her anger. She glanced at Dr. Monroe, who was still lying on the floor, then fixed her icy stare on the hand gripping Molly’s arm.

“Let her go.”

The guy instantly let go, as if shocked by electricity. Only afterward did he realize he’d been intimidated by a woman whose face he hadn’t even seen.

Wiona raised her eyes to the short-haired woman. “I’ll go with you. But you let my people go first.”

“If something happens to me here, are you sure you can handle the consequences?”

“I’m still Wiona from the Salisbury family, and technically the adopted daughter of the Morgans.”

“There are so many people watching. If I can’t even stay safe under Mr. Schmidt’s nose, you really think Ecstasy can just walk away from this?”

Her titles didn’t mean much these days. Everyone in Stonehill knew the Morgans had kicked her out and she had no real standing with the Salisburys. But right now, this was the only leverage she had.

Wiona turned to Molly and leaned in, voice low, “Don’t be scared. I’ll be fine.”

“Take Dr. Monroe and your dad and get him to the hospital. Leave now. Don’t wait.”

She gave Molly a look, trying to reassure her. Inside, though, she was starting to panic. The time she’d arranged had already come and gone. Her backup should have shown up by now, but there was no sign of them. Was Ecstasy really that untouchable?

The short-haired woman was getting impatient. “Mrs. Salisbury, what’s the hold up?”

“Let’s go.”

“Once you’re gone, we’ll let them leave.”

Molly clung to Wiona, tears running down her cheeks, shaking her head in desperation. “No, Wiona, you can’t go. Please don’t…”

The two bodyguards looked at Wiona, worried. “Boss, we—”

Wiona gently pushed Molly’s hands away. She didn’t look back at anyone. Head held high, she followed the short-haired woman, surrounded by men in black, back toward the club’s glittering entrance.

But she walked slowly. Way slower than the woman leading her. If anyone was stalling, it was Wiona.

Soon enough, the woman noticed. “What are you doing?”

Wiona acted like she didn’t hear, taking her time with every little step.
