Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 3

A chill flickered in Wiona’s eyes.

Alona was caught off guard by her pushback. “You…”-

Before Alona could get another word out, Jace’s younger sister, Bianca, stormed over and shoved Wiona hard.

“Wiona, what’s your problem?” Bianca snapped. “This is our house. Are you seriously thinking about hitting your mother-in-law now?”

Wiona staggered, barely keeping her balance. Just then, a steady hand caught her from behind.

Jace had just come in. His brow creased tight.

“Why can’t you be more careful?” he said.

Maybe it’s supposed to be concern, but to Wiona, it felt like blame. Ever since she’d learned the truth, just seeing Jace made her skin crawl. She glared at him and pushed his hand away.

Jace started to wonder what was wrong, but Bianca cut in with a sneer. “See, this is what happens when you spoil her, Jace.

“She just disrespected Mom, and now she’s throwing a tantrum at you, too.

“Who does she even think she is?

“She’s just a fake the Morgan family tossed out. Lived the high life under their name for years, and now she’s nothing. She should be lucky she got to marry you. And still, she’s not grateful. Instead, she’s got the nerve to talk back. You really need to get her under control.”

Bianca’s rant made Jace’s frown deepen.

“Wiona, how could you be so disrespectful to Mom?” he asked. “Even if she said something out of line, you’re her daughter-in-law. For my sake, can’t you just let it go?”

Wiona’s hands balled into fists at her sides. She forced herself to swallow the anger rising inside her. She should have seen through Jace’s fake concern long ago. She used to pity him, thinking he was stuck between her and his mother, but now the whole thing just seemed pathetic.

She looked up and met his eyes. “Let it go? I’ve put up with your mom’s nasty comments for a year. I’ve dealt with Bianca’s insults again and again. Isn’t that enough?”

She glanced at the apple that had rolled onto the floor. “As soon as I walked in, she started throwing things, and Bianca instantly called me trash. You call that ‘saying a few things’?”

Bianca opened her mouth to argue, but Wiona didn’t let her. “Bianca, I’m your brother’s wife. At the very least, you could show a little respect. You’re the one who’s being rude, not me.”

Bianca’s face turned red, and Jace was left speechless.

Wiona didn’t look at them again. She walked away, nothing left of the girl who used to swallow her pride and stay quiet.

Bianca shrieked behind her, stomping her feet, and Alona shouted, “This is unbelievable! Jace, are you really just going to watch her treat us like this?”

“Why are you still keeping this fake around? Just divorc her! Are you trying to drive me crazy?”

Jace’s face was dark as he rubbed his temples, clearly frustrated.

“That’s enough, Mom,” he finally said. “She’s pregnant. Her emotions are all over the place. Just give her a break, alright?”

Then he walked off after Wiona, leaving Alona and Bianca standing there in shock.
