Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 30

Grandma Grace sat quietly, her mood surprisingly calm.

“Why are you getting so worked up? I’m not even angry,” she said.

She had seen this coming. Alona’s true nature wasn’t news to her, so she wasn’t shocked by the disrespect. If anything, she just felt relieved that she had already given the family heirloom bracelet to Wiona.

The bracelet didn’t look like much. In fact, it was probably worth less than a tenth of the jewelry set Wiona had gifted her tonight. But its real value lay elsewhere. It was the symbol of the Salisbury family matriarch. It held a powerful family secret and was a token that, one day, could change everything for the Salisburys.

Later, when Molly recounted all the drama that had gone down in the main hall, Wiona just shook her head.

The moment Grandma Grace got home, she told Wiona to go upstairs and rest. She hadn’t slapped her son and daughter-in-law in front of Wiona, which was already protecting their dignity. Still, they didn’t get the message.

“Just a bracelet, and Alona couldn’t even keep up the act,” Wiona mused. “No wonder Grandma never gave it to her.”

“Molly, take some flower tea to Grandma in the back courtyard. Maybe it’ll help her sleep tonight.”

“Yes, ma’am,” Molly replied.

As Molly was about to leave, Wiona remembered something.

“Oh, and I transferred your tuition for the next few years to your school account. I’ll help you figure out your work schedule at Grandma’s villa too, so don’t worry about it.”

Molly’s eyes instantly filled with tears.

“Thank you, ma’am. If it weren’t for you, I’d probably be a maid here for the rest of my life.”

Molly’s father drove for the Salisbury family. Her mom had left years ago with one of the Salisburys’ guests and never came back. Ever since, her father had changed completely. He started gambling, and sometimes he’d take out his anger on Molly, who looked just like her mother.

Molly was a top student. Even while working as a maid from the age of fifteen, she’d managed to get into Stonehill College on her own. But her father didn’t want her to keep studying. He even took her paychecks. With nowhere else to turn, Molly went to Alona for help.
