She could feel herself running out of options. She really didn’t want anything to happen to Cassian, and she knew she couldn’t handle this on her own anymore. Without hesitating, she pulled out her phone and called Conrad.

He picked up right away, sounding a little smug. “Missing your brand-new husband already?”

Wiona shot Summer a look, then stepped aside for some privacy. “It’s serious. Conrad, I need help. I have a problem. Can you track a taxi for me? Here’s the plate number…”

Conrad didn’t even hesitate. His wife was finally asking for his help, and there was no way he’d say no. “I’ll have Korey get in touch with you.”

The second she hung up, Korey’s call came through.

Less than a minute later, Korey was back. “Found it. Looks like the taxi is headed towards Birchwood North.”
