“Here, take this juice as my apology. If you’re willing to forgive me, just drink it, okay?”
Bianca pushed the glass into Wiona’s hand.
If it weren’t for the guilty look in Bianca’s eyes, Wiona might have believed she was actually trying to make amends.
Wiona offered her own glass back. “Then how about you drink mine instead?”
Bianca didn’t think twice. She took Wiona’s glass, and while Wiona hesitated, Bianca downed the juice in one go.
“Go ahead, drink yours,” Bianca said. “You don’t actually think I’d mess with your drink, do you? It’s Kellen’s birthday. Why would I do something stupid?”
Wiona just smiled. “Right. But if you did try anything, I could always upload that recording to the school forum. Imagine everyone finding out about your little grudge against Molly.”
She raised her glass, and as she noticed Bianca’s anxious look from the corner of her eye, her hand suddenly slipped. Juice splashed all over Wiona’s dress.
“Oh no, I didn’t mean to do that.”
Bianca’s panic faded and she shot Wiona a glare. “Don’t push your luck.”
She turned and hurried away before Wiona could say anything else.
Wiona let out a quiet, cold laugh.
If Dr. Monroe hadn’t pulled her aside earlier and warned her, she never would have guessed Bianca could be so reckless.
“Miss Bianca wanted something that would make someone lose control, embarrass themselves, even in public,” Dr. Monroe had said. “She offered me a generous deal. I couldn’t say no.”
