Emmy grabbed her phone.
She opened the app. “Skyline System plagiarism” was already blowing up at the top of the trending list.
But when she tapped in, a gray message popped up—“Content has been deleted.”
She hit refresh. The whole hashtag was gone, not a trace left.
Her eyes narrowed.
So, either Dean or Claudia had already made their move. That was quick.
But just a few seconds later, a brand-new hashtag shot up, even faster—#SkylineSystemPlagiarismEvidenceChain.
Emmy clicked in.
Right at the top was a video from a mega influencer with over ten million followers. The evidence was even sharper and more thorough than the edits Emmy’s own team had put together.
At the end of the video, the influencer showed his face, pink hair and all, looking furious. “I’m going to call out every single plagiarism thief, and I won’t stop until they’re all exposed!”
Emmy blinked, a little surprised. She checked out his profile.
His avatar was a flashy guy with bubblegum-pink hair, username “Pink Diamond Prince.” His bio said he was a signed streamer with Whalestream.
Whalestream? The biggest streaming platform in the country.
For a guy with his kind of following to speak up for her—Emmy hadn’t expected that. She felt a rush of gratitude, liked the video, and hit follow.
Tucking her phone away, Emmy looked at Abriella.
“Abriella, can you get the paperwork ready? I’m suing Evelina for plagiarism.”
“No problem! Leave it to me. This time, I’ll make sure she loses everything—she won’t even have her underwear left!”
Abriella paused, remembering something. “Oh, by the way, those three lawsuits you filed against your dad? The court’s already processing them. They’re under review. I’m guessing he’ll try to reach out soon, probably to you and Teresa, hoping for a settlement.”
Emmy’s lips curled into a cold, tight smile. “After everything he’s done for Claudia and her daughter—scheming against us all these years—there’s no way we’ll ever forgive him.”
Lately, Cooper had been running himself ragged, all because of those three lawsuits she’d filed.
The first one was for assault.
The second, for cheating during his marriage—with that as leverage to push for a divorce from her mom.
The third, for illegally transferring marital assets.
Every case had airtight evidence. Cooper didn’t stand a chance.
“Emmy!”
Dean tried to dodge around Will.
Will swung a punch at Dean’s face.
Dean dodged and fired back with a punch of his own.
In seconds, the two of them—both tall, both athletic—were fighting right in front of the elevator.
But even though Dean knew how to fight, he was no match for Will, who trained like a machine every day.
After just a few blows, Will landed a brutal punch right into Dean’s side.
“Ugh!”
Dean staggered back, clutching his ribs. The pain was sharp and sudden—he’d just started to heal, and now it felt like they might be broken again. His face went pale and sweat broke out along his hairline.
Will drew his fist back, eyes cold. “If you bother my sister-in-law again, I’ll mess you up so bad your own parents won’t recognize you.”
With that, he turned and stepped into the other elevator.
