Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 260

Outside the door, the valet leaned in close, listening for a long moment before a satisfied grin spread across his face. Ms. White’s request? Done and dusted.

He was just about to sneak off, key dangling from his finger, when he nearly bumped into a woman striding down the hall. She looked stunning—sleek dress, flawless makeup—but she could barely walk straight. Her cheeks were flushed, breath coming fast and shallow. Something was definitely off.

He stepped in her way. “Sorry, miss, this is Mr. Nelson’s private suite. I can’t let you in. Please, you’ll need to leave.”

Evelina braced herself against the wall, struggling to catch her breath. “I’m here for Mr. Nelson. Didn’t Ms. White tell you I’d be coming?”

The valet’s face went from smug to pale in a second. He shot a nervous look at the door, then stared at her like she’d just turned his world upside down. “Wait… you’re Ms. White?”

His stomach dropped. Did he mess up? Ms. White had been clear—only she was supposed to come up at this time. How could there be two?

If this was Ms. White, then who did he just let inside?

Evelina took a shaky breath, trying to steady the heat racing through her body. “Why are you talking so much? Mr. Nelson’s still in there, right?”

Her heart hammered in her chest. She’d planned everything for tonight—asked her mom to have the room set up with special incense, even drank a little something extra to set the mood. Mr. Nelson liked women with a spark, and tonight, she was determined to have him.

“Ms. White…” The valet was sweating bullets now. If she found out he’d let someone else in—and locked the door behind them—he was dead meat.

Evelina didn’t even glance at him. She fixed her dress and hair, took a couple deep breaths at the door, then knocked.

Nothing.

Her face darkened. She shot the valet a sharp look. “Get over here and unlock the door.”

He stammered, “M-miss, you really can’t go in right now—”

“Enough! Open it. Now!” she snapped.

“I-I’m just the staff! I don’t get to decide what Mr. Nelson does!” he blurted out.

Before he could say another word, several men in black suits came running down the hallway.

“Grab them!” one of them ordered.

The valet tried to run, but he only made it a few steps before they had him pinned.

Evelina’s legs felt like jelly as the drug fully kicked in. Running was out of the question. Dizzy and desperate, she clung to the closest guard, her voice breathy and pleading. “I feel awful… it’s so hot… Mr. Nelson, please, let me see Mr. Nelson…”

The guard pulled away without a hint of sympathy, pulled out a pair of handcuffs, and snapped them around her wrists.

“Mr. Nelson’s orders,” he said flatly. “Anyone causing trouble at his door gets taken away.”
