Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 545

Will just froze, totally stunned, like someone had hit pause on his body and brain at the same time. For a second he couldn’t move, couldn’t speak, just stood there wide-eyed.

A flush of heat shot up from his neck and spread all the way to the top of his head.

His cheeks, his neck, even his ears turned bright red.

He and Abriella had been together for almost a month now, but honestly, the most they’d done was hold hands. Sometimes she’d get bold and give him a quick kiss on the cheek, but this—her kissing him on the lips—this was a first.

While Will’s mind was still spinning, Abriella pulled back, her eyes sparkling with teasing and just a hint of mischief.

“Wait, don’t tell me… you’ve never even kissed someone before? Are you really that innocent?”

Will’s face somehow got even redder. He stiffened his neck, trying to sound confident. “Who says I don’t know how? Of course I do!”

Before he could overthink it, he reached out, put his hand behind Abriella’s head, and kissed her—hard.

Sure, he’d never actually done this before, but he’d watched enough dramas to know the basics. He tried to tilt his head like those smooth leading men, but it came out clumsy, awkward. He didn’t dare do anything more than press his lips to hers.

Abriella burst out laughing at how adorably nervous he was. Taking control, she deepened the kiss, showing him exactly how it was done, like she’d done it a hundred times.

It wasn’t until they heard footsteps in the hallway that Will jumped back like a rabbit caught in headlights.

Abriella grinned at him, licking her lips, her eyes full of playful challenge. “Looks like you’ve got a lot to learn from me,” she teased, laughing even harder.

Will was so embarrassed he couldn’t even look at her. He stared at the floor, hands and feet all awkward, not knowing what to do with himself.

“I… I’m gonna use the bathroom!” he blurted, then made a quick escape.

Behind him, Abriella’s laughter echoed through the empty hospital room. But as the sound faded, her smile slowly disappeared. She lay back down, staring up at the white ceiling.

She’d been laughing, but now her eyes stung for no reason she could name.

Inside, her heart felt painfully warm.
