Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 604

“At that time, there was a darkness between your brows. I remember telling you it meant a great disaster was looming. I even drew a fortune for you. The signs were terrifying, but even then, there was a hint of hope, a chance for survival.”

Emmy froze, caught off guard.

“Now, seeing you again…” Father Alistair’s eyes moved between the two fortune slips. “Your fate has changed. The disaster has passed. The shadow of death is gone.”

He paused, tapping the two slips gently. One promised good luck, the other bad.

“This means blessings and trouble are woven together. Your destiny has shifted, like a river changing course. What’s ahead, even I can’t predict.”

Emmy was fascinated, wanting to ask more, but the master raised his hand to stop her.

“My child, you’re like the woman who came before you: blessed by your good deeds. There’s nothing to worry about.”

“You’re wise. Just follow your heart. In time, you’ll always find a way to turn trouble into good fortune.”

A young priest beside them called out, “Next, please.”

Emmy stood up, a little reluctant, and moved aside.

James stepped forward and handed over his fortune slip.

Father Alistair accepted it, placing it next to Emmy’s two slips. Now three slips lay in a row.

He looked up at James, his voice solemn. “Your destiny is solid, like stone. No one can break you. Your good deeds shield you from harm. Whatever you want to do, go for it. Don’t hold back.”

He paused, then added, “Let go of what you’re holding onto in your heart. You’re a lucky man.”

James frowned.

Lucky? That couldn’t be right.

He scoffed silently and walked over to stand beside Emmy.

The priest called out again, and Andrew quickly handed over his own slip, his attitude respectful.

“Father, I want to know about my love life.”

His voice was warm, but you could hear the nerves.

“I just want to know if I can… spend my life with the woman I love.”

As soon as he finished, Teresa stiffened, her heart jolting like she’d been stung. She instinctively grabbed Emmy’s hand.

“Emmy, let’s… let’s go.”

But Emmy caught her hand, her eyes bright with excitement. “Mom, wait, let’s see what he says.”

It wasn’t until he heard she’d married someone else that he finally rebelled, fought his family, and built his own business empire.

Now, no one could hold him back.

But her…

The master was right. He’d made his own path so hard. This time, he wouldn’t hesitate again.

All the regret from his youth with Teresa, he was going to fix it, piece by piece, no matter how long it took.

When the fortune readings were over, Teresa pulled Emmy to every shrine, praying at each one. James, never a believer, just followed quietly behind them. Andrew followed too. Whenever Teresa prayed, he prayed to the same statue.

Every so often, Teresa would glance back and meet Andrew’s eyes. There was always a hint of helplessness in her look. She’d sigh and turn away.

After the last prayer, in front of a statue of the Virgin Mary, a senior priest greeted them, hands together in a gentle gesture.

“Please, come with me.”

He led them through a quiet bamboo grove to a simple, elegant courtyard. The meditation rooms were tucked away, peaceful and beautiful. This was a special place for honored guests to rest.

“There’s underfloor heating here. Please relax for a while. Your meal will be brought soon.”

The priest bowed politely at the door, then slipped away, leaving the group in the calm silence.
