Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 732

Emmy lounged against the headboard, looking calm and collected, like she’d seen it all before.

“I honestly think they’re scared of losing you,” she said, her voice soft.

“I mean, you’re their real daughter. You’re the one who’s actually family.”

“They spoiled Mandy so much before, but it was mostly because she was useful to them. With Mandy’s connections, she could bring in big business deals for the Sullivan family.”

“But once she stopped being useful, they realized something. Blood ties are the only thing you can really count on.”

“Now the company’s losses have leveled out and they’ve finally accepted the truth. Of course they want you back. It’s only natural.”

Abriella listened, nodding slowly. Something inside her started to loosen, as if Emmy’s words were gently unknotting the tight spots in her heart.

Still, Abriella pressed her lips together. “I’m not ready to forgive them.”

She paused, then her eyes lit up with a mischievous spark. “But, maybe I’ll take Will with me and go back for a visit. Just to see what’s really going on.”

“I don’t care about them anymore, but if they want to give me company shares, I’d be stupid not to take them. That’s what I deserve.”

“Even if I don’t need the money, I could put it aside for my baby.”

Emmy’s attention dropped to Abriella’s stomach, her heart skipping a beat.

“Wait, are you… pregnant?”

Abriella shook her head, a little disappointment flickering over her face.

“Not yet. We haven’t used protection, but my period just showed up a couple days ago.”

“I don’t know if it’s me or him, but I’m going to make a doctor’s appointment to get checked out.”

“One way or another, I’m having a baby that’s a hundred percent mine.”

“All the love I missed out on, all the pain I went through, I’m going to make up for it by giving my kid double. I’m never going to be the kind of parent they were.”

She started to daydream, her voice growing softer. “First thing I need to do is save up a huge amount of money for my baby.”

“I want them to be able to do whatever they want, never worrying about money like I always did. I don’t want them to feel boxed in, like they don’t even have a choice.”

Emmy nodded in agreement. “You’re right. I should start saving for my kids too.”

Abriella burst out laughing. “Are you serious, Ms. Lincoln? With your monthly allowance, normal people could live the rest of their lives in comfort.”

Emmy rolled her eyes, her voice dropping to a playful whisper. “It’s not that crazy, but I guess… yeah, maybe I should set some aside…”

She trailed off, her words hanging in the air. Then she shook her head.

“Sometimes, if you spoil a kid too much, give them everything before they even ask, it’s not really doing them any favors.”

“I don’t care if she still thinks about those adoptive parents. She has her own life now. We should give her everything we saved for her.”

Mr. Sullivan’s face was set and serious as he grunted his agreement.

“When she comes back, we’ll have her re-register as part of the family.”

“If we have to, we can add Will to the family register too.”

“In the end, the company shares will all be hers.”

In the back seat, Mandy sat in silence, jealousy burning hot in her eyes.

No way. She couldn’t let Abriella come back. She couldn’t let her name be written in the family record again and take everything that was supposed to be hers.

A dark, poisonous idea started to take root in Mandy’s mind.

What if…

What if both Mom and Dad were gone?

By law, with the records the way they were, she, Mandy, would be their only daughter.

That would mean everything the Sullivan family owned would go to her.
