Enchanted Nightfall Falling for Destiny (Quintessa and Tyrone) novel Chapter 406

Quintessa clenched her fists, her voice laced with a stark defiance, "Thanks, but my mom's name is Dolores Brooks. Your family... Well, let's just say we're not exactly in the same league."

Andrew, undeterred, pressed on, "So... what was the deal you were discussing with Sean?"

"If you're so curious, why don't you go ask Sean yourself? Given how influential the Yates family is, I'm sure he'd be more than willing to chat. Why bother asking me?"

"No, I came here specifically to see you, Ms. Young."

Instantly, Quintessa realized what was happening and snapped, "You've been following me."

Andrew's lips curled into a slight smile, "I had no choice. After all, Ms. Young, you do have a knack for capturing people's attention."

Quintessa's grip tightened, understanding that this man had probably been guarding against a potential alliance between her and Sean, secretly monitoring her every move. Now, at the slightest indication of action on her part, he had promptly intercepted her.

With disdain in her eyes, she retorted, "Save your breath, Mr. Yates. I'm well aware of my own allure. There's no shortage of people who find me interesting. Your kind of attention, however, I could do without. It might lead me to believe you have certain... intentions. And I've got work this afternoon; I don't have time for idle chitchat, so if you'll excuse me."

With that, Quintessa snatched the umbrella from Andrew's hand and turned to leave.

In the past, she might have engaged in a bit of playful banter, perhaps even flirted a little. But now, facing Andrew, she found herself at a loss for words.

Just the thought of him being a Yates was enough to make her stomach churn.

Andrew's voice followed her, "A word of advice, Ms. Young. Be smart. You can do whatever you please with anyone else bearing the Young name, but leave Lilian alone."

Death itself wasn't enough to scare her, let alone this.

Andrew seemed to catch the undertone in her response, adding, "There are fates far worse than death."

These clichéd threats sounded awkward coming from Andrew, but Quintessa just nodded, "Sure, I know you can try. So go ahead."
