Enchanted Nightfall Falling for Destiny (Quintessa and Tyrone) novel Chapter 420

Tyrone and Quinn sat by Mrs. Anderson's bedside, with Tyrone wearing a stern face, “Mom, what were you up to last night?”

Mrs. Anderson, feeling refreshed and energetic, exclaimed, “We went out for a poker night. Quinn was scouting for the perfect spot. You wouldn’t believe how amazing she is. She wiped the floor with Susan Harrington and her crew in minutes. By the end of it, they were practically left in their underwear. It was hilarious, and thinking about it still gives me a thrill.”

“Ha, after years of being the underdog at the poker tables, I finally had my moment of glory. Son, you should really see Quinn in action.”

Tyrone was speechless... Poker? An all-nighter for poker... Alright, then.

“Mom… With me not around to keep an eye, were you two plotting a rebellion or something? Staying up all night for a game of cards, at your age? She might be young, but are you? Both of you acting like teenagers, how am I supposed to not worry?”

Mrs. Anderson pouted under Tyrone’s scolding, scratching her head, too afraid to retort.

Tyrone glanced at Quintessa, “And her… wait till she wakes up, I’ll have a word with her. If your judgment is foggy, hers should be clear at least. To think she’d get carried away as well.”

Mrs. Anderson looked up, “You can’t scold her… If you must, just… scold me. Quinn was just defending me because she saw how badly I was treated. She was standing up for me.”

Tyrone chuckled, “Alright, I come back after a few days to find you two bonding like this? Now you’re even taking the blame for her.”

Mrs. Anderson nodded vigorously, “Of course! Quinn is such a wonderful girl, of course, I like her. She’s much better than you, always standing up for me when I’m bullied, unlike you, who just lectures me…”

Initially annoyed, Tyrone couldn’t help but lose his steam after exchanging a few words with his mom. Clearly, after this incident, his dear old mom had completely fallen for Quintessa, even more than her own son.

Tyrone smirked, “Fine, I can't compete with her. Why don’t you just bring her into the family as your daughter-in-law then?”

Mrs. Anderson scoffed, suddenly twisting Tyrone’s ear, “I wish! But you need to step up your game. Do you have any idea how much I’ve done for you?”
