Chapter 121: The Interception

Flatbed

Later on, she had lied, claiming she lost the token. When Jasper caught sight of Tatiana wearing the token and then destroyed it, she kept spinning her tale, insisting that Tatiana had broken into her home. At that moment, Jasper had accepted this clumsy excuse without question.

But now, four years later, why was he dredging up that old story again? The sudden reminder sent an icy shiver down her spine.

“Jasper, what exactly are you suggesting? If you don’t trust me, then just assume I was lying all along!” Her voice cracked, tears threatening to spill as she stood abruptly and fled the room.

Jasper didn’t immediately follow. Instead, suspicion slowly crept into his eyes. Four years ago, he hadn’t dug deep into the truth; it was as if he had been blindfolded, instinctively recoiling from anything connected to Tatiana. But now, something inside him stirred, a desperate need to uncover what had truly happened back then.

Tatiana had also gone to Jardovia, yet no one had informed him.

His gaze suddenly froze, locking onto a figure below. His pupils narrowed sharply. Instantly, he straightened, eyes tracking the person’s every movement.

It was a waitress, clad in a pink bunny outfit complete with a mask and ears. She looked visibly uncomfortable in the scanty costume, clutching her chest protectively and constantly dodging the advances of nearby patrons.

She resembled a frightened rabbit. Even from a distance, through the bustling crowd and despite the exaggerated bunny attire, Jasper recognized her without hesitation.

Tatiana.

How could she be here? Why was she dressed like this in such a place?

Damn it.

Without a second thought, he set down his champagne glass and rose to his feet.

Tatiana struggled to weave through the crowd, occasionally pulling at the revealing fabric of her costume to adjust it. Thankfully, the numerous scars covering her body made her exposed skin less appealing to many, sparing her from the unwanted touches that the other bunny girls endured. Most of the other girls were being groped repeatedly, some even dragged off to private rooms by force.

The scene was chaotic, every moment a torment. But she had to endure—five hours in total for the debt to be fully cleared. Three hours still remained. Just a little longer.

8:26 p.m., Friday, November 14

“Oh, is this the abused bunny girl? I like this version!” a masked guest sneered as he approached, reaching out to grope her.

Tatiana flinched away instinctively. The man’s hand grasped empty air, his face twisting with annoyance. “You dare dodge me? Why are you pretending to be innocent now? Didn’t you know the rules before you came?”

There was an agreement that for tonight’s event, all participating staff had consented to whatever happened, in exchange for a hefty bonus. Tatiana had been unaware of this. Now, the guest’s hand reached out again, and she instinctively avoided him once more. This only fueled his anger.
