Even in Darkness She Chose to Rise (Tatiana and Jasper) novel Chapter 196

**Even the Night Couldn’t Silence Her Light**

Tatiana’s instincts kicked in as she heard the commotion. Her gaze instinctively shifted toward the source of the noise. A man emerged from a sleek, black car, dressed in a loose-fitting suit that seemed to hang off him like a second skin. He wore a single black earring that glinted in the sunlight as he waved casually to the throng of fans gathered nearby. With a flourish, he removed his oversized sunglasses, and for a fleeting moment, Tatiana’s heart skipped a beat.

But she quickly reminded herself, **It’s not Jasper. It can’t be him. He just bears a striking resemblance.**

Despite her resolve, she found her eyes drawn back to him, a magnetic pull she couldn’t resist. A second glance confirmed her initial assessment—this man was definitely not Jasper. While there were similarities in their features, a closer inspection revealed the subtle differences that set them apart. He was like a low-rent version of Jasper, a cheap imitation that only stirred her confusion.

A frown creased her brow. **Did Jasper have any brothers?** The thought nagged at her. If this man wasn’t related to Jasper, how could they look so alike? Was it merely a coincidence, or was there something deeper at play?

Beside her, Ann, her curious daughter, noticed her mother’s intense gaze and turned to look as well. A thoughtful expression crossed Ann’s face. **Does Mommy find men like that attractive?** she pondered, her young mind wrestling with the implications. **Her taste is terrible. But if she likes him, I suppose it’s not entirely impossible…**

After the man disappeared into the building, Tatiana finally tore her gaze away, shaking off the strange feelings that had begun to swirl in her chest. Just as she made up her mind to lift Ann into her arms and leave, Anna rushed out of the building, her eyes scanning the area until they landed on them. Relief washed over her features when she spotted them.

“I’m so sorry! I was caught up in an emergency meeting and couldn’t get to you sooner! I truly apologize!” Anna exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine remorse.

“It’s fine,” Tatiana replied, trying to dismiss the concern.

“Come with me. Your work badge will be sent over shortly, and then you’ll have the freedom to come and go as you please,” Anna said, her tone dripping with respect, as if Tatiana were a VIP guest. This piqued the curiosity of those around them. **Who is this woman, to receive such deference from Anna?**

“Ms. Su, this way, please. We’d like you to compose a custom song for Harpie, to serve as the lead single for his upcoming record. We’ve tried several others, but none of them quite fit.”

Tatiana felt a flutter of anxiety at the mention of Harpie. She knew he was their company’s biggest star. Though he wasn’t a terrible singer, his meteoric rise to fame was largely attributed to his stunning looks, which had captivated audiences almost overnight. And of course, it didn’t hurt that he had a wealthy father who poured resources into his career.

The name Harpie echoed in her mind, and she couldn’t help but picture the man she had just seen. “Harpie?” she echoed, her curiosity piqued.

“Yes, our most prominent artist. You’ll meet him shortly,” Anna confirmed, leading the way to the recording studio.

As they approached, the air was suddenly pierced by the sound of something crashing against the floor.

“How could you send me this garbage? I wouldn’t even use it to wipe my ass!” a voice roared from within.

Anna’s expression fell, a mix of annoyance and resignation washing over her. **Great, another tantrum.**

“Please be patient with him. Harpie’s temper… well, it leaves much to be desired. If he offends you, I’ll apologize on his behalf,” she said, her voice tinged with a hint of exasperation.

“It’s fine,” Tatiana reassured, steeling herself for whatever awaited them inside.

Upon entering, the studio presented a chaotic scene. A man lounged on a sofa, his irritation palpable, while the surrounding staff stood in silence, their eyes pleading for help.

“You’re here!” one of them exclaimed, relief flooding their voice.

“Yes. What seems to be the issue? Why the outburst?” Anna asked, trying to maintain her composure.
