They both followed her gaze and saw Chandler standing among the guests. Their jaws dropped.

“Let me go!!” Chandler struggled, trying to land a blow, but he was hopelessly outnumbered, held fast.

Seeing him, Jasper’s expression turned glacial, his eyes filled with a biting coldness. “Chandler. You dare show your face?”

Chandler yelled back, “Why wouldn’t I? How could you do this to Tatiana? After everything she did for you, you humiliate her like this!”

“She chose to run off with you. She should have been prepared for the consequences.”

Chandler froze. “Run off? With who?”

Seeing Chandler’s genuine confusion, Jasper set down his glass and strode towards him. He grabbed Chandler’s lapels, his voice dangerously low. “Still pretending?”

Chandler was even more bewildered. “Let go! Pretending what? Was I wrong?”

“Where is she?”

“Who? Tatiana? You’re looking for Tatiana? I was about to ask you the same thing!”

Jasper’s voice dropped further, turning to ice. “She ran off with you, and you lost her?”

Chandler stared at him, utterly baffled. “Ran off? What are you talking about? Why would Tatiana run off with me? She’s completely devoted to you!” Although painful to admit, Chandler had always known the depth of Tatiana’s feelings for Jasper.
