After a restful night at the Sanchez Estate, I made my way back to the Scott Group’s office building the following day. There, I continued to immerse myself in project data.

Just as I wrapped up a work discussion with colleagues, the phone on my desk rang. Picking it up, I heard the receptionist’s voice saying that two high-profile clients had specifically requested to see me.

“Clients? Who are they?” I was stumped as I couldn’t remember scheduling any client meetings for today. Investments secured, my focus was on finalizing the project plan.

“The clients’ info is confidential. I’m not in the loop,” the receptionist stammered. All she knew was that they were a big deal. The company’s top brass had personally escorted them in, saying they were the most important VIP the Scott Group had seen in years. They were here to inspect the company and had specifically asked for me.

I was skeptical and flat-out declined. “I’m swamped. How about sending Samuel?” I figured the company’s vice-president was more than qualified to handle the situation.

“The clients said they only want you, Ms. Anderson. They’re cool with waiting if you’re busy,” the receptionist replied.

With no other option, I handed over the final data-checking task to my subordinates and decided to find out who these mysterious clients were.

In the VIP lounge, an elderly werewolf couple sat. They looked kind-hearted and were dressed to the nines. Despite their attempts to conceal it, I, as a half-breed with sharp instincts, could sense their ancient and powerful werewolf aura.

“Are you Ms. Anderson?” The old lady popped up as soon as I walked in. She was not tall but surprisingly spry. She walked over, sized me up, and then grabbed my hand. I was caught off guard but couldn’t bring myself to pull away, not with the genuine affection in her eyes.

“Yeah, I’m Natalie Anderson. May I know who you are?” I asked politely.

“Oh, we’re just here to check out Moon-Shadowed Pack. We’ve heard so much about the young, gorgeous, and super-capable heiress here…” Before she could finish gushing, the old man behind her cleared his throat, cutting her off.

He gave her a meaningful look and then spoke up. His voice was steady and serious. “We’re here for an inspection. My wife’s just really curious and wanted to see the heiress in person.”
