After checking with Zoe, Caroline learned that Jonathan and Reese had booked a hotel room for four days, and tonight was just the second night.

All kinds of dramatic ideas popped into Caroline’s mind. The classic caught cheating scenes and all the tricks.

Like filming it in a live streaming, rushing in with a crowd, exposing them, dragging the mistress out in public, even tearing her clothes!

But honestly, none of that was really possible for Caroline.

They would do anything to protect their reputation, even if it meant going totally crazy.

Beating Reese or humiliating her? That could wait until the apocalypse.

When everything collapsed, she could do whatever she wanted to those two cheaters.

Zoe remarked, “I can only help you this much. Honestly, I never liked you, but I thought we were in the same situation, so I came out to eat with you.”

She rolled her eyes at Caroline.

Caroline thought about why she and Zoe didn’t get along. It was mostly because she was always cold and didn’t complain, and sometimes she had embarrassed Zoe in public.

Suddenly, Caroline had an idea. But it would only work if Zoe helped.

She took a deep breath and looked at Zoe. “Zoe, I need your help. I know I’ve been stubborn before, but I promise I won’t go against you anymore.”

Zoe froze for a moment. She hadn’t expected Caroline to say that.

But after a moment, she nodded.

Caroline smiled to herself. Perfect.

Jonathan, this time, I’m done with you for good! I would cut ties with you and your family!

After leaving Zoe, Caroline called the elder lady of the Lowlands, Patricia Lowland.

She was over 80 years old but still healthy and sharp. When she was younger, she had been a formidable woman, and even now, her word was law at home.

Caroline guessed Patricia probably knew a little about what Jonathan was doing, but not everything.

At least, she didn’t know about Jonathan and Reese’s relationship.

Because when she was young, she had gone through some hard times and hated cheaters more than anything.

She told Patricia that she wanted to take her out for a drive and would pick her up tomorrow night. Patricia was excited and said she would wear her favorite silk scarf.

Caroline took a deep breath and hung up, hoping Patricia wouldn’t get so angry that she would ruin her scarf.

After running around all day, she felt a bit worn out when she got home.

As soon as she opened the door, she saw Raven sitting by the doorway. His head down, but eyes looking up at her with a grumpy expression.

His face drooped so dramatically that it made Caroline want to laugh.

She quickly took out the roast chicken she had bought earlier. She tore off two pieces and fed them to him.

“Raven, look what I got for you! Here, I’ll feed you!”

As soon as Raven saw the food, his mood brightened. He snatched the chicken from her hand and trotted away to eat it happily.

That evening, Caroline took him for a walk and stopped at the neighborhood market to grab some fresh vegetables.

She planned to cook after her workout and store the food for later.

After all, she was pretty good at cooking.
