Chapter 16 Caught Jonathan Red–Handed
This room card wasn’t something you could just give to anyone. Zoe was definitely taking a big risk by doing this.
That’s exactly why Caroline had asked for Zoe’s help in the first place.
Caroline nodded to her in thanks, didn’t say anything else, and led Patricia and Renee upstairs.
As soon as they reached the room door, they could hear laughter and playful voices from inside.
Jonathan, do I look good like this?” That was Reese’s voice.
“My dear Reese, you always looks nice,” Jonathan said in a slick, unpleasant way.

“So, how do I compare to your fiancée? Last night you even left me to go see her!” Reese’s voice sounded playful but a little annoyed.
“Hah! What’s so great about her? If it weren’t for her money, I wouldn’t care about her. I just went to keep things calm. She’s been in a bad mood anyway,” Jonathan said.
His voice sounded dark and strange, not like his usual polite self.
“So, which one do you like better–me or her?” Reese asked sweetly.
Jonathan said, “Of course it’s you. Come here and give me a kiss.”
Caroline couldn’t listen to this nonsense anymore. She looked at Patricia, whose face had turned completely dark.
Then, the usually quiet Renee suddenly shouted, “Jonathan, we’re right outside the door!”
What a troublemaker!
Caroline quickly swiped the room card and opened the door.
Inside, chaos broke out. Things were knocked over, clothes rustling.
But Caroline pushed the door fast enough. Jonathan and Reese didn’t even have time to get dressed. They could only hide
under the blanket.
On the floor, some very inappropriate things had been scattered around.
Wow, these two were really going wild.
Patricia stormed in, her face dark with anger, pointing a shaking finger at Jonathan. “What are you doing?!”
Jonathan turned pale. He looked at Caroline, then at Patricia, and stammered, “W–we’re rehearsing a play. There’s an event we’re joining recently…”
Caroline couldn’t help but burst out laughing. What a silly excuse. Jonathan really had no common sense,
Renee tried to help, “Grandma, I don’t think it’s a big deal. They’re just friends, right? Just talking in a hotel room. Nothing strange. Let’s not make a fuss.”
Caroline gave Renee a sharp look, then walked over and yanked the blanket off Jonathan and Reese.
Underneath, Jonathan was completely naked.
Reese looked even sillier. She wore a tight top, a leather mini skirt, and had a bell around her neck. When the blanke was pulled away, she jumped onto Jonathan, shouting, “Jonathan!”
Caroline rolled her eyes. “Well, that’s very intimate.”
By now, Patricia had realized what was happening and glared at Rence.

Renee quickly turned around and closed the door.
Patricia gave a small smile to Caroline. “Caroline, well, this could be a big deal, or it could be nothing.”

Even though she said she wanted to side with Caroline, Caroline could tell that she was clearly trying to protect Jonathan.
Well, that made sense. After all, he was the family’s grandson.
All the fake concern earlier? It was just to see how much evidence Caroline really had.
No one in the Lowlands was trustworthy.
Caroline looked at Patricia and said, “Mrs. Lowland, what do you mean? That’s not what we agreed on just now.”
Patricia let out a sigh. “Well, Jonathan isn’t married to you yet. But after the wedding, I promise. He will never do something like this again!”
Now Caroline got it.
The Lowlands thought that since they weren’t married yet, there were no rules. Both sides were still single, so it was fine to mess around.
As long as he behaved after marriage, everything was fine with them.

“I never thought the Lowlands‘ standards to be like this. So loyalty before and after marriage is just whatever you want it to be?”
Patricia smiled, still trying to play peacemaker.
Caroline looked at her coldly. She could see Patricia was changing sides at the last second. What a caring grandmother.
But that was understandable. After all, she was Jonathan’s grandmother, not Caroline’s.
Caroline wasn’t scared, though. She had always been careful around their tricks.
She pulled a small hidden camera hanging on her shirt, pressed a few buttons, and played back the recording from earlier.
This time, even Patricia looked shocked. “Caroline, what are you doing? You secretly recorded us?”
Renee quickly turned around, trying to snatch it.
But Caroline kicked her in the leg, making her fall forward onto the floor. “You’re way too weak to act tough around me. Just stay out of my way.”
