Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 106

**The Unseen Kingdom That Followed Me Into Every Dream by Alyndra Meron Valeen**
**Chapter 106**

“If you’re single and ready to mingle, how about a meal? My treat,” she announced, her voice resonating through the hall with an unmistakable clarity that captured everyone’s attention.

The implications of her words hung in the air like a thick fog, and the microphone amplified her daring invitation, making it impossible to ignore.

“Oh my God, she’s actually doing it! She’s going for the kill!” one voice exclaimed, tinged with disbelief and excitement.

“Is he single?! I need to know!” another chimed in, urgency lacing their tone.

“Me too! Tell us if this hunk’s already taken!” a third voice echoed, the room buzzing with curiosity.

Even the middle-aged CEOs, those titans of industry who typically exuded an air of composed authority, leaned forward in their seats. They had daughters nearing my age, and with their wealth and privilege, those young women were not just pretty; they were breathtakingly beautiful.

The thought lingered in the air: if a young business prodigy remained unattached, it could open a door to a potential alliance, a son-in-law to elevate their family’s status.

Excitement coursed through the room, palpable and electric, as every gaze turned toward me, waiting with bated breath for my response.

‘I can’t believe his relationship status has become more crucial than the reason we’re actually here,’ Baron thought to himself, bewildered by the turn of events.

He was the only one privy to Sebastian’s true identity, a secret that cast a long shadow over the unfolding drama. He understood that none of these women could ever hope to match the staggering heights of Sebastian’s status, who stood there like a regal figure amidst a sea of provincial nobility.

Yet, Sebastian remained blissfully unaware of his own significance.

The sudden focus on me was disconcerting, a wave of attention that crashed over me like a cold tide. Before I could articulate a response, an image of Hera flashed through my mind, vivid and striking.

In the blink of an eye, her face was replaced by another—mischievous, impish, and grinning like a cheeky gremlin.

“I heard she was married, but I never saw her husband. The rumors said he was nothing special, just some dull, unimpressive guy… which is definitely not Mr. Grimwald,” another voice added, skepticism lacing their tone.

“Well, if Hera really is his wife, then the rest of us don’t stand a chance. She’s one of the rising stars of Astergrad’s business world—beauty, brains, the whole package!” a third voice declared, a hint of envy creeping in.

“No wonder she acts like an ice queen. How could she be interested in anyone else if her husband is someone as extraordinary as Mr. Grimwald?” someone whispered, the admiration palpable.

“Hold on, that doesn’t add up. I saw her at a high-end place a few days ago with another man. I even greeted them. That was not Mr. Grimwald,” a skeptical voice countered, doubt creeping into the atmosphere.

“What? Are you saying there are cracks in their marriage? Does that mean we still have a chance?!” another voice exclaimed, excitement bubbling up.

From my vantage point on the stage, the murmur of voices reached me like a distant echo, muffled yet insistent. Meanwhile, Hera, standing resolute, caught every word with perfect clarity, her expression a mixture of defiance and desperation. The tension in the room thickened, a palpable energy that promised either revelation or chaos.
