Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 112

**The Unseen Kingdom That Followed Me Into Every Dream by Alyndra Meron Valeen 112**

“Mr. Grimwald, I must say, you are undoubtedly the most unassuming man I have ever encountered,” Baron remarked, his voice laced with genuine admiration as he carefully poured a steaming cup of coffee, the rich aroma wafting through the air. His movements were deliberate, each action infused with a sense of respect, as if he were handling something precious. “So, what are your plans moving forward?”

With no urgent tasks demanding my attention, I felt a spark of spontaneity and chose to engage in conversation. “Initially, I had envisioned launching my own company right after finalizing the contract with you. However, the recent forum has dramatically altered my trajectory. Given the fervor displayed by the participants, I suspect that finding a moment of peace to depart will be quite challenging for a while.”

Baron waved his hand dismissively, a playful smirk dancing on his lips that conveyed a sense of ease. “Oh, come now. It’s not as complicated as you’re making it out to be.”

He extended his hands, presenting his CEO ID card with an air of ceremony. “If you wish to leave, you have the freedom to do so at any time. This ID card grants you direct access to my personal parking basement. Feel free to take my car; I assure you, no one will bat an eye. They can wait at the office for as long as they please.”

“That’s a brilliant idea,” I replied, accepting the card without a moment’s hesitation, a rush of excitement coursing through me.

With the financial backing for my new venture secured, I found myself contemplating the possibility of recruiting some of the finest talent from Baron Inc. for my pioneering team.

Baron nodded enthusiastically, his confidence in my vision palpable. “Absolutely! No one is off-limits. If I weren’t the CEO, I’d be the first to volunteer myself for your team.”

Instead of embarking on a tedious tour of the departments to handpick candidates, I opted to let Baron take the reins on recommendations. He agreed without a flicker of doubt, clearly eager to assist.

Moments later, his assistant, Lucas, rushed into the room with an air of urgency. I handed him the document detailing my company’s blueprint.

“Thanks in advance, Lucas,” I said, feeling a sense of camaraderie with him.

Just as I was about to exit, Lucas hesitated, his demeanor shifting to something more cautious. “Um, Mr. Grimwald? There are two women waiting for you outside.”

Why did Lucas have to be the unfortunate messenger caught in the crossfire of a couple on the brink of separation? He was an outsider, completely unaware of the tempest brewing beneath the surface. One misstep, and he could easily become entangled in the chaos.

“Discuss it? Hmph!” I let out a scoff, my lips curling into a sardonic smile. “What more is there to deliberate?”

I was acutely aware of what must be swirling in her mind. My newfound fame had undoubtedly stirred up feelings of regret, and now she fancied that we could somehow reconcile. Did she genuinely believe that? The thought was laughable.

“Tell her that I’ll be settling that 2.8 million dollars soon. She needs to face reality—our divorce is final and irrevocable.”

With that, I turned on my heel, striding out of the room with a sense of finality.

Baron shot Lucas a sharp, knowing glance before trailing after me like a steadfast shadow, his presence a comforting reminder that I was not alone in this tumultuous moment.
