Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 163

**Chapter 163**

I had always thought I understood Hera’s mood swings, but today, they seemed to shift with a speed that took me completely by surprise. It was as if the very air around her had changed, and I was left grappling with confusion.

Evanna, ever observant, picked up on my bewilderment and decided to intervene. “Do you really not know what’s going on?” she asked, her eyes gleaming with mischief.

“No, I genuinely have no idea. Did you catch something I completely missed?” I replied, feeling a sense of urgency to grasp the situation.

With a light-hearted chuckle, she leaned closer. “Hee hee, maybe? I mean, I don’t know about you, but for a brief moment, I thought I saw someone turn green,” she said cryptically, her laughter echoing as she stepped into the consultation room.

Green? My mind raced. Did she mean it in a literal sense, or was it a metaphor? Like… the Invincible Hulk? No, surely it had to be metaphorical. But what could “turning green” signify in this context?

“Argh, I was never good with literature!” I groaned, running my fingers through my hair in frustration.

Just then, my phone buzzed, breaking my train of thought. It was Jeanine, calling me via video. I quickly accepted the call.

She appeared on the screen, sitting alone in our office, her brow furrowed with concern.

“What’s the matter?” I inquired, sensing the urgency in her demeanor.

“Sorry to disturb you at this hour, Mr. Grimwald. I’ve come across some issues in the project details we agreed upon, and I’d like your assistance in resolving them. Are you available now?” she explained, her voice steady yet tinged with anxiety.

I nodded, eager to help. “I am. Please send them over.”

“In just a minute!” she replied, her fingers already flying over the keyboard.
