Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 179

**The Unseen Kingdom That Followed Me Into Every Dream**
by Alyndra Meron Valeen

Hera found herself at the end of her rope, her heart pounding in her chest like a wild drum. The walls of the dimly lit room seemed to close in around her as Bull advanced, his intentions clear and malicious. She pressed herself back against the unforgiving corner, her only solace being the presence of her best friend, Mila, who stood beside her, equally terrified.

“Edmund! Holy shit, are you even a man?!” Mila’s voice pierced the air, sharp with indignation. “I thought you were in love with Hera! The woman you supposedly care about is being harassed right in front of you, and you’re doing nothing?!” Her words were a whirlwind of frustration, echoing the disbelief that hung heavily in the atmosphere.

Edmund flinched at the mere mention of his name, a tremor running through him. But that was all he could muster—a quivering silence that spoke volumes of his cowardice.

It was disheartening, even for Mila, who had always believed in the strength of her friend’s convictions. How could a man be such a coward, especially when the threat was so blatant? There was only Bull in the room, a brutish figure who could easily be confronted!

“You really should give up on that pansy, sugar,” Bull taunted, his voice dripping with mockery. “Rather than wasting energy begging him to rescue you, you should be begging me to be gentler!” His laughter was cruel, a cacophony that twisted in Hera’s stomach like a knife.

Unable to contain his sadistic glee, Bull moved closer, his intentions darkening the air like a storm cloud.

“Don’t come any closer!” Hera screamed, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and defiance.

Tears streamed down her cheeks, hot and unrelenting. “My husband just left! If he finds out what you’re doing… h-he’ll mess you up!” The words spilled from her lips, a desperate plea that she hoped would resonate with whatever humanity Bull might possess.

In that moment, she had instinctively, or perhaps out of sheer desperation, invoked Sebastian as her last line of defense. Deep within her heart, he remained the most steadfast protector she had ever known, the man who had always stood by her side.
