I was too focused on my mission to dwell on this. I hurried out of the hotel and ran toward the pharmacy across the street.
The security guards exchanged glances after I left.
“Er, Miss Lowry? Was that our guy?”
Amy Lowry, the hall manager, nodded
“Then why didn’t we just catch him back there? When Mr. Goldman shoes, we could chose off and ear me prende
Amy sneered. “You idiots. This is exactly why you’re still security after nearly ten pare here
“Mr. Goldman’s order was to catch him in the set–net jest detain braves he’s fere pofi’t see him fee the rom Joolding perfectly put together?
There’s no way he had sex with Rhea in that short time. So we don’t need to apprehend him at all. From now on, our job is to make sure he doesn’t return to that room.”
Amy shot a sharp look at the guards. “Get this through your heads. This is a special case Despite what Mr. Goldman wants, we mest prevent any scandal that could ruin the hotel’s reputation. That means being smart. If anything goes wrong, you’re the ones who’ll pay Understand?”
The guards nodded. “Yes, ma’am.”
“Good Guard the room and don’t let that woman escape. I’ll handle the guy.”
Amy had worked at the hotel for ten years. Rising to hall manager was no small feat. This case mattered to her employer, and if she succeeded, a promotion and raise would be guaranteed.
Baron Goldwater shoved a doll–like beauty aside and prepared to leave.
His party brothers watched with puzzled interest.
“You’re leaving already, bro? You don’t usually finish this fast.”
“Maybe these escorts today aren’t that good. Time to try a different batch.”
“No, idiots. I’ve got business,” Baron snapped, frowning.
As he stepped out of the private room, a friend grabbed his arm.
“Did you find him?” the man asked.
Baron’s scowl deepened “How the hell could I find him? All I got was that his name starts with G and R. How many last names begin with “G–R? Grimm? Green? Greene with an ‘e‘? Greg? That’s not even a last name!”
Disappointment crossed the man’s face.
“If it’s not about him, then what’s got you so pissed?” he pressed.
“It’s the batch the Caniens arranged for me to marry. A manager under me just told me she got drunk checking into a hotel room with some idiot In my hotel!” Baron snarled “I have to get there before I get cuckolded!”
The thought only fueled his anger. “God‘ I don’t know how to complete this stupid mission they forced on me, and now this durab woman’s causing trouble! Damn it!”
