Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 88

Baron looked at me with a puzzled expression, clearly unsure of what I was implying.

“Baron Inc. is being conned. This is their typical modus operandi,” I explained, then hesitated briefly before deciding to reveal everything. “Back when I was at university, I actually had a keen interest in economics. My specialization was finance and investment. During that time, I noticed a newly established company—this very one.”

I spent the next ten minutes carefully walking them through the company’s fraudulent tactics, detailing how they bribed employees at partner firms to turn them into willing accomplices. The information was both glaringly obvious and meticulously detailed.

Baron and Lucas listened in stunned silence, their jaws practically hanging open throughout my explanation.

“Are you serious? So… our manager has been compromised?” Lucas asked, disbelief evident in his voice.

I had used so many precise financial terms with such assurance that Lucas immediately assumed I was some kind of financial prodigy.

“Yes. That’s precisely why they’re targeting you now,” I replied, maintaining a calm demeanor.

I had said all that needed to be said. Whether Baron chose to believe me or not was entirely up to him.

To my surprise, Baron responded with unwavering confidence. “I believe you. Honestly, thank you for this thorough analysis. Without it, we’d be hemorrhaging money by now. But how do we fight back?”

“This is brilliant!” Lucas said, his eyes shining with newfound understanding.

Turning to me with genuine respect, he asked, “Mr. Grimwald, how did you know they were running the same scam again?”

“I didn’t know for sure. It’s just that they’ve been using the same tricks for years.” I chuckled softly. “Their market analysis is sloppy, their forecasts inaccurate, and their financial breakdowns a mess.”

The room felt charged with a renewed sense of purpose as we all absorbed the plan ahead. The air was thick with anticipation, and I could see the determination settling into Baron’s eyes. This was more than just a battle against a scam—it was a chance for redemption, a way to reclaim what was rightfully theirs.
