Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 89

Chapter 89

As I tapped the document with my finger, my voice cutting through the stillness of the office, a heavy silence fell over the room. Baron and Lucas sat frozen, their expressions a mixture of shock and disbelief.

The executives at Baron Inc. had previously devoted three entire days to dissecting this very market analysis during a high-level conference. At the end of it, everyone had agreed the report was solid and trustworthy. Baron himself had harbored some doubts but, unable to pinpoint any concrete flaws, he had reluctantly sided with the majority.

Sebastian, however, had wasted no time. Within minutes, he had unraveled the entire report with razor-sharp clarity and precision. His ability to detect every single issue was astonishing—far beyond what one might expect from a former firefighter or the typical trust fund heir.

It was almost unbelievable.

Baron was the first to recover from his stunned silence. “Lucas! We’re going to follow Mr. Grimwald’s recommendation. I want our team to be focused and thorough. If they screw this up, they’re out!”

He shook his head in disbelief. “Seriously, those fools spent three days on this nonsense and didn’t catch a single problem. Mr. Grimwald saw through it in minutes! Why am I still paying any of you?”

Lucas lowered his gaze, guilt etched deeply across his face. “I’m sorry, Mr. Goldman. We’ll do better next time, I promise.”

He glanced at me, awe shining in his eyes. *He’s so young… and already so sharp. No wonder Mr. Goldman thinks so highly of him.*

“I’d really like to learn from you, Mr. Grimwald,” Lucas added quietly.

“I messed up! I really messed up!” he exclaimed, looking genuinely distressed. “This contract doesn’t pay you nearly enough, Mr. Grimwald. Can we renegotiate? I’ll offer 1.3 million—no, 7 million! Please, let me come along for the ride!”

His dramatic reaction made me smile, amused by his enthusiasm. I nodded in agreement.

“Thank you! Thank you for letting me in on this brilliance!” Baron practically shouted, his face flushed with excitement. “I’ll have my assistant draw up a new contract immediately. And one more thing—please be my guest of honor at today’s Project Investment Forum. I insist!”

The atmosphere in the office shifted completely, charged with energy and anticipation. It was clear that this was just the beginning of something much bigger.
